GoodEar Pro FAQ
Is GoodEar Pro free?
GoodEar Pro is not free (it costs 1100.00), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is GoodEar Pro legit?
🤔 The GoodEar Pro app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I’m finding this to be immediately helpful with my improvising (hearing what’s in my head and translating it to the piano).
A small bug: in the multiple intervals section after an error, when you play the next pattern successfully it does not move on to the next pattern—you need to hit the “new melody” button.
A request: I’m getting close to mastering the modules. Could you add 7ths or something to add difficulty? (Now I’m gonna check and see if it’s already there and I missed it!)
Can’t change temp on iPhone
I purchased this app specifically for the jazz chord ear training portion, it works on my iPad, but not on my iPhone. I can’t change how fast the notes are being played during the arpeggios and I can’t identify the chords cause they are playing so fast.
good app
good stuff! anyway to get a guitar fret board to input notes also?
Good but flawed.
Hi! I’m a beginner at ear training and I’m starting to get the hang of thus powerful program. But one crucial thing is missing. After you correctly guess the answer, you cannot hear the chord, interval or melody again before the app jumps instantly to play the next example. It’s crucial to hear the example WHILE knowing the correct answer. To cement your knowledge. Please fix this issue, thanks!
A Bit Glitchy
Inconsistent performance with headphones on iPad Pro. When practicing scales, notes will bounce between left and right ears, which is a distraction during exercises. Rebooting iPad or deleting and reloading app resolves problem for a few days.
Easy-to Use Aural app
Easy-to-use app for sharpening aural skills.
No explanation on how to use.
There is no demo or a page with instructions on how to use. The information button only explains what each control does not how they work or how to use the app. App looks good and has plenty of options but as a beginner in ear training how exactly am I suppose to use this.
Fun and educational
Great for all musicians for ear training. I highly recommend it.
Invaluable tool
Great tool for anyone trying to improve their ear.
Great app for learning to hear chords and intervals
Highly recommended. I started using this in button mode and gradually shifted to keyboard mode as my ears improved. I love being able to specify what intervals or chords I’m working on.
Some minor items for my wish list:
1. Improve statistics by showing me percentages for specific chords /intervals so I get a sense of where I’m doing well and where I’m doing poorly.
2. Add a progressive difficulty option that tracks where I’m struggling and shifts the focus to those chords/intervals.
3z. Add an option to play the chord after playing the arpeggio.
