Goodhunt: Fitness, Avatar

Although I enjoy the concept there are some drawbacks that are going to keep me from using the app much. First of all is the very limited customisations/clothing for the avatars. Though, I assume more will be added in time. The second issue is that so few things spawn near me. Yet I see them clustered in places I have no interest in going to. The last reason is the biggest issue for me. That is that the app eats through my battery very quickly. A 2 km walk ate up more than ten percent of my battery. And that’s with me having to close the app a few times to save battery since nothing was nearby. There is no way my phone life would survive running this app for a full walk. On the positive, the avatars are nice. I like that gold can be found through out the map so one doesn’t need to spend money to buy stuff in the app. The idea is really fun as well. I don’t hate the app. I just wish it worked better.

I use this as well as other walking apps when walking my dog. This one is cute and I like the idea of it however a lot of the items in my area aren’t in accessible places. Like through trees no where near a path or in peoples backyards. If they could fix that or add more items on actual paths and streets it would make things a lot better.

Goodhunt has been lots of fun, and encourages me to regularly work out. Lots of customization options for your avatar, and you gather materials to power your character up by moving outside. Dev community is also super active and has a discord and has fixed bugs the community has reported :).

GoodHunt is so awesome! I’ve been looking for a gamified fitness app that would encourage me to move my body more. I’ve used lots of regular fitness apps but I find the fun, gamified apps are what gives me the most motivation. Goodhunt is a charming well designed app with creative avatars. As you walk you find treasure/tokens that you can collect and gift to other users. Looking forward to seeing how the app evolves as more people play.

I’m still quite new to the game, but it’s been giving me more of a reason to get out and walk around, which is great because I have Fibromyalgia and struggle to get the motivation to exercise as much as I should due to pain. This makes walking around the block feel more rewarding for sure! I wish there were some more customization options for the avatars(like heterochromia for eyes, maybe some more hairstyles too?), but I’m still really enjoying the game regardless and look forward to taking more walks.

It’s so simple and fun. Keep me motivated. The feeling of being rewarded every day just for stepping outside is addictive! This app makes going outdoors feel like a game.

I’m really into this App, super amazing! Love the avatar and challenges, it encouraged me a lot to go outside, I found more interesting places and routes. This app totally changed my mind about daily exercise, already introduced it to my friends, hope will add more challenges and cute medals.

The LBS gameplay is so interesting. Not only does it track my walk routes and data, but I can also pick up treasures on my way. I always collect fragments of medals and assemble. It takes my daily walk into a fun treasure hunt.

So far it’s fun was never able to make a big streak walking ,but I think I will with game I like that it makes me wanna walk more then what I was going too and makes it more fun then just walking the normal route because I’m trying to find points so I go to another one only thing I can say is I wish I could play it with Spotify so I can listen to music I haven’t tried it yet but assumed I can’t
