App has good intentions and interface is fine, but is riddled with little bugs. Some adults with no social media will use this app which is mostly a good thing. Only the adults circle is used for communication, and we use other apps are used for the youth. Posted images do not zoom well. Figuring out what is unread is difficult to make the red annotation go away.
Notification flags!
So many bugs with the flags. This has been one since the dawn of the app! I can’t get rid of the notification flags even though I visit the text string or restart the app.
Alerts
The notifications aren’t great. They seem to stay on the app even when read. Makes it hard to find conversations too.
Good but buggy
With the addition of Circles, I love having a dedicated channel for communication on top of all the other features already provided. But often, the notifications don’t clear nor do all the messages show. It often takes deleting the app to get everything to sync.
Circles needs a dedicated app
And also a lot more work. Compared to other messaging apps this app is so clunky and difficult to use. Please put more effort in making Circles better as we have a hard time using it to communicate in the ward
SO buggy!!
This is a great app and I like the circles feature to communicate with the ward. I am not even a youth and I sometimes browse the “discover” feed from time to time. If only it would function the way it is supposed to! There are so many bugs that it makes the app really hard to use sometimes. I miss messages all the time because it either won’t notify me when something has been sent or I will still have the red notification dot by a conversation as if I haven’t opened it yet. It gets confusing and I don’t know whether or not I am caught up with the conversation.
What makes this more frustrating is I have submitted my feedback with my concerns about this and all they did was respond to my email and say I need to click “mark as read.” I don’t need a band aid solution for the notification thing that I will have to keep doing over and over, I need the bug to be fixed so that it’s not a problem anymore! Stop using my tithing to pay your engineers not to fix their app!!
Has Potential but Remains buggy
This app has a lot of nice features but despite numerous updates to fix bugs, I continue to have a problem with false notifications for messages which I have already read within Circle conversations. The app has shown 2 notifications for the same message circles for the past few months and they just won’t go away despite there being no new messages. It’s pretty annoying and makes me not want to use the app. Also, sometimes the Circle conversations won’t load all the messages or it won’t load a particular conversation circle at all until I close and reopen the app several times. I hope they can work out this ongoing issue.
Never fully lets me sign in
After I sign in I tap circles and it tells me I have to sign in first. I type my info in again and it tells me I can’t sign in 😡 I had the same problem years ago I I deleted the app, but now I need to have it so I know what the YW/YM activities are. Why won’t it work????
I love this app
I am so happy to see the bugs have been worked out of this app! I do have a suggestion that would make this app complete. A full calendar! So activities could seen all at once. This would help with planning activities so much easier. This one feature would make this the perfect app. I would also love for something to be sent out by the church reminding the saints of this app since all the bug fixes. Many went away and haven’t come back or have never heard of it. This is too a valuable resource become this obscure!
Please support iOS 15!!
Developer to developer. As of Feb 2024, with latest XCode please target older versions of iOS if dev libraries still work (React Native, Native, etc..). iPhones can be expensive for just a Church social media app! For example, an iPhone 7 Plus can be plenty fast with iOS 15.# and an app for iPhone 6S with some creative optimizations (again in 15!!). This App will be faster for it in the long run. For example, Facebook targets 13 (12 for other types of Apps). Thank you!!
