GotOne! is a serious tool for serious anglers - NOT another Facebook for fishermen!
GotOne! is a real simple fishing log app that helps you become a better fisherman through data-driven insights, while contributing to the research and science that protects our fisheries and the fish we love to catch.
GotOne! allows fishermen to log their catches through a few quick taps. For each catch, fishermen record the species and the length of the fish. Based on the location and time of each catch, GotOne! seamlessly records water temperature, moon phase, tide, wind and other environmental information. Fisherman can also record additional, optional information, such as catch notes and other observational information.

DATA-DRIVEN FISHING INSIGHTS

Gain insights into the key factors that determine your fishing success: e.g. What moon phase is the best for catching redfish in your waters?
CONTRIBUTE TO THE SCIENCE OF FISHERIES MANAGEMENT
GotOne! was developed in partnership with the American Saltwater Guides Association, marine research and science organizations, and with input from professional fishing guides. Your recorded catch data not only contributes to making YOU a better fisherman - it contributes insights to inform the research and conservation needed to protect the fish and fisheries we love
DATA PRIVACY
GotOne! takes data privacy VERY seriously. We know that fishermen are protective of their hard-earned fishing knowledge. Personal fishing data is never shared without the user’s permission. Aggregate data generalizes location information to fifteen-mile regions - useful for scientific research applications, but too general to “burn spots.”

GotOne! FAQ
Is GotOne! free?
Yes, GotOne! is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is GotOne! legit?
✅ The GotOne! app appears to be high-quality and legitimate. Users are very satisfied.
I liked this app a lot better before I lost the ability to edit location. Now I cannot retroactively change the position, so to get accurate data I have to enter the fish I must do it while fishing instead of when I get home. I am a lot less likely to use this app now.
Powerful app
The gotOne app is an amazing tool for charter captains and recreational anglers alike!
By simply taking a picture of your catch, you log all the pertinent data of that day’s conditions and the location. The more you use it the better your data becomes. You no longer have to keep an old fashioned log on daily catches.
The additional option to share encrypted data with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (and more to come I would assume) is such a powerful tool to help them monitor the condition of the fishery.
Great fishing log
Got One is an easy to use fishing log that makes organizing your data easy. Simply upload a photo of your catch and the location, weather and water information is there!! You can even go back and enter catches from previous years and have the data populate your log. I’ve been fishing for many years and find this app easy to use while providing, or allowing you to provide in the comments section, everything you need to keep track of your fishing success.
Spots
This is indeed a great app but I think over time I will generate spot burns even tho it doesn’t give a pin point location.
Great fishing log and so much more
This app offers a very fast and easy way to log your fishing catches, using voice, a few clicks or simply by taking a picture. It makes it really easy to log every single catch.
The insights provided from all the catches help in a few ways. First of all, you can see the exact location and conditions (moon phase, water temperature, tide…) of each catch. That should help each angler with improving their fishing. Secondly, the aggregated data goes to researchers who can hopefully preserve species and monitor fish health. That may or may not appeal to you, but I don’t mind preserving some fish for the next generation.
Lastly, occasional newsletters from the GotOne! team show some general insights about how and where you might have a good fishing day. It doesn’t show any angler’s favorite spots, but you will get a good idea of desirable conditions and general area where there might be good fishing.
Tight lines and good luck!
Simple, wasy to use and benefits conservation
A great app that serves the needs of anglers while supporting conservation science. Skip the social media adverisement-laden junk and use this app to record your catches. Its fighting the good fight.
Made for fisherman by fishermen
Such an easy to use app and with the data you want (tides/winds/other conditions) automatically logged with your photo of your catch. I wish I had this for years. Can’t wait to see where they take this app.
Great app!
This is a great app that is simple to use! Makes it so easy to log your catches with all of the pertinent information captured automatically. We’ll done!
Great App with well thought out UI
This is a great app with a well thought out intuitive UI. Seems to have the right balance of flexibility and simplicity.
Been looking for something to use as a fishing log without all the noise of photos, spot burning, and drama. Social media has that aspect covered.
If your looking for a simple app to use to track your saltwater catches with some of the variables (such as tide and weather) then this is for you.
I also love that they are allowing people to use it for some recent fisheries management studies.
The one thing that seems to be missing is the ability to add your own species. There are some less common species here in the NE that I do target do an expanded species list, ability to add your own, or simply have an "other" selection would be helpful.
Five stars though !
