Compass missing East and West etc.
Look at the image of the “compass” in the App Store. It only has North and South. Totally missing are East, West, NE, SW etc. and all the cardinal points as are degrees. In short it is a beautifully designed decorative compass that can not perform even the most basic compass functions. Additionally it played 3 advertising videos for random products in the 60 seconds I spent changing the altitude settings from meters to feet.
Accuracy issues
The barometric pressure is incorrect. For example, at present, the actual pressure is 1015.58 mBars (or 29.99 inches), but the app says it’s 878.95 mBars. Not possible! The lowest ever recorded is 870.
Also, an “inches” unit should be one of the barometric pressure settings.
Altimeter? Hardly
I’m sitting exactly 3 feet above sea level. So far , I’ve gotten readings any where between -19 ft to 30 ft. It never quits changing.
Best altimeter app I’ve used
This app is great for when I am backpacking and hiking and want to know elevation. It works even without service and there’s an Apple Watch app. Highly recommended 👍
Not accurate
My wife & I are sitting next to each other and our corresponding Altimeters do not reflect the same altitude. Off but at least 700 feet.
Feature request
I would love having an option in settings to have the app announce current altitude either based on time (every 30 mins or 60 mins) or based on altitude (every 1000 ft or 500 ft). On the high alpine mountains it isn’t easy to stop and manually check. Thanks for your hard work.
How to install on Watch?
I have bought the ad free version, but it does not come up on my Watch 4...
Works great
Driving and hiking in Colorado gave me an opportunity to look at this app. It worked great. It was consistent and was able to read altitude when I was out of Internet service.
Needs mph
Fine app, allows toggling between meters and feet. However, docking a star because velocity is only provided in km/h
