Description

GrainProc is a real-time granular synthesizer with which you can create new sounds and musical textures by affecting your voice, your instrument, or any input from AudioBus. 2 grain engines run in parallel, allowing you to layer two sounds and create rich textures, even as a solo performer!
Features:
• 2 Granular synthesizers running in parallel
• Waveform representation of the sound allowing you to touch where you want the sound source to be
• Sliders to control dry volume, wet volume, feedback level, and grain density
• Visual level monitors of the dry, wet and feedback levels
• Simple enough to be used with your feet! We discourage using your device with your feet, though it has been used that way for public performances!

Does nothing

iOS 11.4.1, no sound, unless there’s some secret button

Likely needs an update

But, still cool. I’ve got a white block to the right of the blue page, and I’m not sure why it’s there. My install has never animated as it does in the demo videos. I’ve re-installed. No change.

Simple, Immediate, Gratifying

Just picked this back up after using other granular apps, and the simple interface, with immediate understandable interface feedback, was gratifying. Not a substitute for other granular tools, but well worth having in the toolkit.

played around with this last night and can creat nice spacey, droney music/ sound with it. i still wish there were more parameters and a record and file import export option..you need to give this app a little time and play with the settings, at first i wasn't impressed but with the right loop and tweaked settings this app started to do its magic..

Interesting and promising

Makes some cool sounds. Its pretty easy to use. Would love to be able to record to a file.

Great live performance processor/instrument!

I use GrainProc in a variety of settings and styles of music making. The simplicity of the interface is deceptive; one can do A LOT with this app as a performance instrument as well as 'mere' live processing. There are a number of good granular apps out there, but this is consistently my go to.

This app is based around a very cool and well executed concept which happens to be a lot of fun. If you like granular synthesis you should absolutely check this out! Processing live sound like this is a creative awakening! Jordan Rudess Wizdom Music
