Bringing out the best in me

Thank you for encouraging me to use the proper language

Ads are Distracting

3vstar on

United States

I got a 100% on the first test. The content was great. On the second test I noticed casino style slot machine above the sentence. It was very distracting having 7777 rolling over and over while trying to read a question. Then I realized that this app is made for children and became very alarmed. There is nothing wrong with grammerly ads just put the them far away from the question and don’t make them flash every two seconds. The flashing can also cause in anxiety in students who may not have had it before starting this app. Kids with ADD don’t need to be tempted to play dangerous gambling games while reading.

Learning English? This app helps!

Riptide360 on

United States

Lots of good business sentences where a non-native speaker would be likely to make a mistake. Boring for anyone who already writes well that was hoping to learn more advanced grammar.

It's ok

Brains+books on

United States

I think it goes over the main grammatical errors that people make. It is at a high elementary school level and low middle school grades 3,4,5,6,and 7 should consider using it to help their grammar and older students should refresh their memory with it

Apps shut down

pmparker_65 on

United States

fter apple update all these apps close down when you get to the step to review the questions you get wrong it shuts down and you have to start all over

HORRIBLE APP

dnalexander on

United States

Short/undetailed descriptions of each grammar concept Quizzes are too short (only 10 questions) Focuses on more “choice of words”, not identification of part of speech Several errors Some tests are locked (unless you pay for full version)

Whoever wrote this app needs some grammar and usage tutoring! Many errors in spelling and usage. I bought the full version and in just one question there were two errors! You need a good proofreader! Shameful!

Not worth it

Not neutral on

United States

Disappointed to find out dated and sexist examples, not to mention religious references.

Needs work...

GuitaristNate on

United States

Numerous grammatical errors in this app! The Adverbs portion of the test asked the question, "He arrived ___ to work this morning", with "early" (the answer they were looking for) and "late" as possible choices. Needless to say, this app needs work...
