Description

Graphing Calculator lets you visualize algebra and calculus interactively and experience 3D graphs in augmented reality on devices which support AR. Graph functions, implicit relations, parametric curves and surfaces, inequalities, points, vectors, contour and density plots, color maps, vector fields, ordinary differential equations, surfaces of revolution, coordinate transformations, conformal maps and complex-valued curves, surfaces, and ODEs. Use rectangular, polar, cylindrical, or spherical coordinates. Solve equations numerically, graphically, or symbolically.
"Graphing Calculator is one of the best examples of elegant power and clean user interface of any application I've seen." - Bruce Horn, creator of the Macintosh Finder.

Graphing Calculator AR Reviews

Menus broken, needs an update

I loved Graphing Calculator on the Mac. While this may have been a great port at one time, in 2024 on iOS 17.5 it appears to be broken. The back button to exit a graph is missing and the examples and demo don’t work. Too bad such a wonderful piece of software has suffered bit rot.

Doesn't work on iOS 17

Doesn't work on iOS 17 with iPhone or iPad

Please update your app asap for iOS 15.

It doesn’t work on iOS 15. Just freezes couple of seconds after opening the app. It looks really awesome though.

Great app

I and my calculus students use GC in iOS, Mac, and Windows versions. It is the best graphing program—better than Geogebra and Desmos in its ease and versatility.

Very laggy and fails to graph complex functions

This calculator is able to graph the hyperbolic trig functions in both standard and complex form no problem. However it completely fails at anything related to Euler’s formula and is very laggy. I would not recommend this to anyone who wants a good 3d grapher.

Great program!

This has been a wonderfully useful little program on the Mac for years. The port to iOS is also fantastic. It is much like the Mac OS version in features but also very intuitive to use in touch mode and easy to use on the small iPhone screen. Great job!

Best math program

Graphing Calculator was the coolest Mac app on the PowerPC and is now the coolest math app on iOS. It’s simple to use, but is also much deeper than it looks. Put an “n” in an equation and get a variable slider. Put a ‘ in an equation for reflection. Graph 2D equations using x, y coordinates and 3D using x,y,z. Seamlessly overlay multiple graphs and easily export both still images and animations.

Cool history. Too buggy to use.

This 1.1 version (Apr 2018) has fixed debilitating stability issues in the previous release! I’m happy to say it is now as stable and as enjoyable as I was hoping it would be. This is an excellent product with a fantastic back-story. Thanks for the update!

Doesn’t work on iPad

I’m looking at the reviews and I’m stunned. How can you say this is a great program? It continually crashes, freezes anytime I load an expression, and when it does actually graph ANYTHING I wanted to graph, I cannot select the input for editing. It’s completely useless on an iPad Plus and these reviews must be false...false advertising. So, Ron Avitzur, unless you are going to update the port so it does work on my iPad Pro, please change your compatibility information and return funds to anyone who requests it. Really???

Awesome graphing calculator!

Awesome graphing calculator app! Version 1.3 exists on my old PowerPC macs running OS9 and I used it a lot for math / CS classes on my iBook G3 (I miss that machine). Glad it's now been updated and better than ever. The developer was quick to reply about my inquiry. Highly recommended! P.S. Since upgrading to iOS 11, I noticed that the app keeps crashing now, especially if I try to rotate or zoom in on 3D graphs. Any plans on fixing the bug? I really like this app. Hope it gets fixed.
