Description

Gratitude forest is the very first phase of One S'more, our gamified mental health app.
Essentially, Gratitude Forest is a place to record and store everything you’re thankful for, whether it’s a person, a kind act, or a positive detail in your everyday life. It's a fun way to create a visual journal of all the blessings in our life, which is more powerful than just thinking about it or a text-based journal.
Every month, you will receive a seed that you can plant and let it grow into a gratitude tree. Each day that you input anything you are thankful for, a magic fruit will appear on your tree. Over time, you will amass a forest full of gratitude trees and fruits, which is a visual reminder of all the good things in life.
The reason we pick Gratitude Forest to be our first phase is that gratitude is such a powerful practice for mental strength, especially considering how little time it takes each day. The simple habit of reflecting on what you’re grateful for regularly can decrease stress and negative thinking and help you lead a more optimistic and joyful life.
Within our apps, you can also schedule paid counseling calls with our trained listeners.
Soon, you will be able to power up and unlock features by completing challenges such as maintaining the gratitude streak, etc. We are adding more game elements and mental health practices that we are currently testing and building for you. The next feature to be released is a mental health Toolbox, which consists of different activities that can help you cope with different situations.
Why play One S'more?
1. Building more mental muscle can prevent mental health issues before they even start. Plus, It can help you to better deal with problems in life and simply have a more joyful life.
2. Game elements help motivate people to adopt healthy habits consistently until seeing results.
3. The most effective way to boost well-being is to be a part of a community that you can both receive support from and contribute to.

Gratitude Forest Reviews

The app makes me smile!

Honestly this app is really awesome in both style and functionality. I absolutely love the visuals, it’s smooth beautiful color pallets and just nice for the eyes when you open it up. I really appreciate the functionality too where it’s super easy to use, no extra unnecessary stuff that sometimes gratitude apps shove in your face. I absolutely love the prompt suggestions that come up when writing the gratitude as I have a hard time tracking down my thoughts sometimes. I really do smile when I open the app, it’s super well done 👌👌

I love the concept of this app but it’s ugly

I 100% love the idea of this app and I was excited when I found it. But the aesthetic is really unpleasant to me and makes me not look forward to using it. If this app were to be be redesigned in an aesthetically pleasing way, and with night shift mode capabilities I could easily see myself using it consistently the way it was intended to be. 5 stars for concept. 2 stars for execution.

Love this idea! Definitely want more

I have been using this app for a while, and I really love the idea! Something I really want is to have some sort of “world” option where you can plant the trees you are growing, and physically MAKE a forest, exactly like the pictures from the summary of the game. You can add animals that come to eat the apples you are growing, can add in birds and ponds for animals to come relax, and watch the progress as I keep adding in seeds to plant, and apples to grow on the trees. Basically, an option to dive Into the forest I’ve made with my gratitude work, and relax. Overall, great game! Definitely looking forward to what the future holds for this

Really like it, would love to see it grow and improve

Simple, effective idea. Really cute design. Like the idea of seeing your forest “grow” with gratitude over time. Some of the prompts read a little funny to a native English speaker - it doesn’t bother me but might to some. Some of the prompts are too repetitive daily, so it would be nice to see more new ones or be able to easily choose a different one if the one given doesn’t really fit a particular day (maybe nothing really “empowered” me today, but maybe I really enjoyed a particular meal or interaction with a person). The home screen seems to indicate some other features are coming, but those have been blank for a while, and I don’t like being led to something not well established. Just focus on the beauty of this app and improving it. Thank you so much for making it.

A good way to remember kindness

Our family has made a point of praying at the kids bedtime every night. We gather together and ask each other “what was good today?” Even if it was just waking up, we share & learn. Then we pray. Our son is off at trade school right now. He calls at about 10:30, we ask what was good & pray via phone. It’s a good app for keeping you focused on the good in life.

Highly recommend!

I downloaded this app from a mention on Instagram. I’m so glad I did. It has you focus on just three things. It reminds me how important it is to pay attention to what’s going on with me and gives me the opportunity to note my gratitude.

Definitely recommend!
