GreekKit FAQ
Is GreekKit free?
Yes, GreekKit is free to download, however it contains in-app purchases or subscription offerings.
Is GreekKit legit?
✅ The GreekKit app appears to be high-quality and legitimate. Users are very satisfied.
Thanks for the vote
How much does GreekKit cost?
GreekKit has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is $10.49.
User friendly, elegantly done, very useful.
I have this app since a couple of years now. The in-built definitions (you can edit them if you want), parsings, concordance (that you can click on to see the context of the same greek word used elsewhere) helps a lot to read and develop you reading ability in Greek with no other tools. I also like that the text used is the NA28, the most recent version of the textus receptus.
No matter where I am waiting now, I can optimize my time, just take out my phone and read the NT in it’s original language. It helps a lot to keep my memory fresh with biblical Greek.
If there’s a bug, the developper is quick to answer and fix it. Very friendly.
My only regret is that there’s no app like Greekkit for the Septuagint. I would certainly buy it. Another regret is that this app works only with IPhones. I have friends who would like to buy it, but have androids.
Best Greek App I found!
Based on the NA28, this Greek App has all the functions I was looking for (parsings and a dictionary) and a LOT more. You can do research in Greek (and English) with a lot of different parameters and see all the occurences easily. There’s also a « review mode » which helps to memorize key words and you have an option to change the answer/definition (the change will apply also in the dictionary). Being French, I can translate the answers so it make it easier for me to use after. The appearance is very nice, easy to navigate (there’s also small videos on You Tube to help you get the most of it). Very well conceived overall! It is worth the price (you also have the option to buy the modules you want among three options)! Thanks for this good tool! It helps me a lot to go farther in my integration of biblical Greek.
A Must Have For All Greek Students
I just recently bought this app for my iPhone, then noticed an in-app-purchase option, lo and behold, the Nestle-Aland 28 GNT. I’ve searched everywhere for something as versatile as this app, nothing has compared. I use this app for my devotional and Greek study time, making vocabulary lists of nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, etc to test from. This is great for teachers and students.
My only wish for this app is that it also had an in-app-purchase audio feature, so when you click and hold on a word you could hear it or when you highlight a sentence or paragraph it could be heard in length so one can capture the flow of Greek aloud. And in addition to this, have it so you can just listen to the Greek. And, have this audio as a download so it does not use data. This would really step up the app to the next level.
One feature I would like to have adjusted is the book-chapter selection when making vocabulary lists. I would prefer to be able to zero in on certain verses rather than have to rely on the order of frequency of occurrence. Having to do this makes focusing on certain parts of the Greek difficult, especially when there are certain grammatical or syntax features you want to study in specific chunks.
This app is far more affordable than accordance (which I have), especially for those new Greek students/pastors who would rather get more Greek under their belt before investing in such an exhaustive product. Moreover, this app is great for learning, retention, on-the-go lifestyle, and review of course work. It could even be utilized from professors in their courses as supplemental material. Overall, I think this is one of the best Greek learning and studying apps out there, don’t be afraid to invest in this one. Great job.
The Expositor’s Bible App
This is the best App for reading and practicing your Greek. I like it better than Olive Tree and Logos Bible apps for reading and studying Greek. I have not changed my review the past three years:
If you are a pastor-teacher (or a student of the NT Greek language) then this app is for you. To experience the full potential of this app, get the in-app purchases of "Word Forms & Parsing Tools" along with the "NA28 text with Lexical & search aids."
Other tools are available for purchase in this app, but these are my favorite ones for sermon prep and word studies. With these two features mentioned above, you can pick a verb (in the biblical text itself or from a specific list that you have created) and this app will show you all the different forms/parsings and occurrences of this word. This feature is just the beginning of the user experience.
This app has greatly helped me expand and retain my Koine Greek vocabulary. The interface is so easy to figure out especially for those who are not technologically savvy like myself. This app is a wonderful addition to other Bible Study apps (i.e. Olive Tree, Daily Dosage of Greek). This app will not disappoint you. I only wish there was a desktop version of this for the MacBook Pro.
Very helpful in exegesis
There is nothing available on a mobile app, that I’ve seen, that does an analysis of the Greek text as efficiently as this. Well done Casey!
Amazing App!
I use this app quite often and I am so thankful for it. Five stars are not enough. I have used many Greek based apps but I always come back to GreekKit.
The developer (Casey Perkins) could easily charge for it and it would still be my favorite Greek tool for NT study.
Get this app and Enjoy!!!
Absolute Best NT in the App Store
If you are looking for a NA28 New Testament packed with incredible features look no further. There are several reasonably priced features that can be purchased, this way you can customize it for your own needs. It’s great for study, practice, and devotion. Simple and intuitive interface makes all features easy to use. I have been looking for something like this for a long time! Thank you for putting this together!!!
A preacher’s Bible app
This is the best App for reading and practicing your Greek. I like it better than Olive Tree and Logos Bible apps for reading and studying Greek. I have not changed my review the past two years:

Doesn’t work anymore
I used this awhile and had ittle problems, but now I tried to add vocabulary to flash cards and it was difficult, and only worked at all on I phone. Did not save to cloud. I changed my review from 1 star to 3 after support responded to my email. I plan to update review again after developer helps me. I have trouble on 2 Apple devices. I can not recommend purchasing this app at this time.
Such a fantastic app
Exactly what I was looking for in a Greek reader Bible. The only suggestions I would make for future additions is to incorporate a LXX with all the features that the NA28 text has. Another app with the BDAG/LSJ and another with some sort of syntax reference material would thoroughly round off all the Greek Bible resources I (as an amateur) could possibly need in a digital format.
