GreenPal’s rating system is skewed to show providers more favorably. The company I hired was able to postpone and reset my service for a month, and there was no hit to their score. They don’t respond, and my grass is out of control. My only recourse is to get rematched through GreenPal and pay a surcharge. Meanwhile, the company that ghosted me keeps a 4-star rating and moves on to the next unsuspecting client. When this happened before, I believed it was bad luck. I know better now. Look at the 1-star reviews on here. It’s a faulty system that lets unreliable providers take advantage of customers.
I put a date to test and see the results and now I want to change it but there is no back button or anything, restarting the app doesn’t help either, it is stuck on the page showing the provider it found for the date and there is no option to edit anything.
I use this service to fill a few holes in my weekly routes (yes I own a mowing company). The problems I have encountered using this is as a contractor, I have no control as to billing for additional services such as long grass or edging. Also, I get marked down for being a day late due to rain. Clients wanting to wait 2 or more to get their lawn cut is HORRIBLE for my $7000 machines. Lots of other complaints but I’ll leave it at that!
My last guy canceled on me and I found a new one to mow my lawn the next day! I already recommended them to all my friends.
I received a good number of bids from the app and the company I went with did a great job on my yard.
Customers can leave reviews for vendors who have not seen the property or have requested the customer find someone else to do the job without charging them or taking the job. In addition customers also have the ability to not pay vendors for a job. Because of this poor treatment of vendors customers aren’t going to get vendors who care about working for them.
Ended up making my own deal with my lawn guy I’ve used for the last 3 years. The app has become unusable. Just a blue screen that says “somethings wrong.” Had to login via the website to delete my info. Thanks for nothing.

Absolutely loved my service provider but the app has absolutely no support when issues arise. Have emailed now 4 times trying to fix log in issue but they simply do not email back. I will just have to change to another app.
