Grimoire Incremental Reviews

Fascinating

Absolutely fascinating and addictive. I’ve played a bunch of these incremental games that trigger some part of the brain that loves to see really big numbers, but most of them the novelty wears off after a few play throughs, and that’s because of a simple relationship: xp means more damage, more damage means more xp, wash rinse repeat. But here there is a complex interaction between different stats allowing for different ‘builds’. Long after the story elements have been repeated and are no longer a driving element (which they are for quite a while) just crunching those numbers keeps you coming back.

Great game

Love the different play styles The hold down to tap feature is great Only thing I can think of to make this better would be to add a key for what the abbreviated numbers mean, I can’t remember what Nod stands for personally

Deceptively complex

Yes this is a tap/afk game but you need a fair bit of strategy. Months in and still completing new challenges. If you get stuck try a different build or see if there new combos with anything that you have unlocked recently. Also consider alternating between tapping when you have time to kill and leaving it in a good afk set up when you are done. Well done Devs. Great little game.

Absolutely hooked me

I got pretty addicted to this one at the start and I still check it pretty often something like 70 days later. It has great variety for an idle game, you kinda need to think about the best arrangement of spells and bonuses to get ahead. That being said, there may be some areas where you fall into a bit of a slump and basically grind/ watch the ticker go up for a while, particularly if you make suboptimal choices without realising. Either way, probably the best idle game I’ve played.

Good game

Towards the end game things get a bit bland, but otherwise a great game which I hope will be added to

Pretty fun!

Interesting incremental game that has builds to play actively or idle. Being able to just hold down instead of breaking fingers tapping is appreciated. Slight suspension of disbelief has to be used when you build up to higher levels and it tells you your book now has a quadrillion sticky notes in it. Funny to imagine though.

Fun

A simple and fun game

Neat game

I quite enjoy the developer’s style of making games with minimal ad interference and with enjoyable aesthetics and mechanics. I’d recommend also checking out the other game called “The Great Outdoors game” which is about traveling between towns buying and selling goods, but instead of your movement points getting reset each day, you build up movement points for actual real world steps you take.

Well done

This is one of—if not the one—best constructed puzzle game on the App Store. I wish I could say how long it took and how many taps it took, but that would be taking away from the fun ;) Well done creators; may hat’s off to you all!👏🏼
