Ground School

Like most other apps, clean to be free, this one is also claiming to be free at the first page, but the conditions are hidden on the following pages or hidden sections. Apple makes a lot of money from these apps! I am not so upset with the vendor so much, but Apple, who is in complete control here not doing its job to prevent this kind of waste of time for its clients. Even after installing you don’t see three days free option until you start tinkering with the app, which I didn’t go that far as I was upset for hitting another misleading app. This is as expensive as the real ground school. Why in the world should I use this app instead of ongoing into a classroom which gives me the option to repeat it if I fail the exam for out, I don’t even know if the app is good and my rating is for the misleading information to get people to install which may be a loss of time for some. Also, this review window doesn’t work unless you thinker . The typing panel doesn’t come up automatically when you try to type in to the boxes. Apple should spend more time finding out about these problems, then collecting huge amounts of money from the vendors.

This ground school app is thorough and concise. I love how well it’s organized. Easy to navigate, layout is super clean and everything works smoothly. It’s difficult to see room for improvement - this app was well planned. I’ve been using this for a couple months in my flight training after previously using other apps.

I’ve used three other ground school apps/ companies and while I might miss the early 80's jokes and videos of one, I really love this because Jason has taken the time to link the source material into the lessons so I can read the regulations and study them. I do wish clicking said links to material didn’t entirely exit you from your current spot in training. Other than that this has been the best app for learning and to me is worth the cost time and time again.

I had a fear of flying and challenged myself to learn about airplanes, physics, aerodynamics, and the safety that goes into aviation. This app is incredible, very well thought out, well done, great videos and teaching, EVERYTHING you need to be successful. I passed my knowledge test and passed my checkride both on the first try and I want to keep learning and being the safest pilot I can be. I can’t recommend this app enough.

I recently took the private pilot exam and passed using this Ground School app. I’ve tried the other Ground School apps and this is the most practical and easy to understand. Thank you, Jason for the great app.

During my free trial I’ve explored several topics in this module. I found that this is the most learning module provides the most realistic flying scenarios I’ve encountered in flying. Thank you finer points.

I’m a retired Air Force pilot, airline pilot, CFI, CFII, MEI and DPE. As I reviewed the material prior to recommending it, I was extremely impressed by what Jason and his team have produced. The information is presented in a very digestible, organized way and the app is very easy to navigate. Great work! Now add commercial through ATP.

This app has several positive aspects, particularly its feature that guides you through specific chapters as you progress. However, I have a few concerns. Much of the content seems directly lifted from textbooks, which is acceptable but not ideal. My main issue is with the video content, which feels like an afterthought. I've used other apps like King Schools Ground, which focus entirely on video content - an approach I prefer. In contrast, this app's videos appear hastily produced, as if recorded on a cellphone or basic camera. They're also quite short, ranging from just 30 seconds to 2-3 minutes. Given the price, I expected more substantial content. Another significant drawback for me is the lack of compatibility with laptops. I wish I could use this app or access its content through a website on my computer. That's a big con in my opinion. Despite these drawbacks, I still find it to be a useful tool for beginner pilots like myself who are trying to learn. The app has potential, but there's room for improvement, especially in terms of video quality, content depth, and platform availability.

I’m blown away of how much I’ve learned through this app! It’s really giving me the strong foundation of knowledge I am needing to prep for my written and oral exams!!
