Warning- App Update Defaults Settings to Pick Up

Petreedish123 on

United States

I updated the app and it changed the default setting to “Pick Up” instead of “Delivery.” I didn’t catch this until I ordered food (which of course was not delivered) and was out $50. The $5 in GrubHub credit offered in compensation is insulting. This is an annoying and costly bug in the update, and GrubHub is making their users bear these costs.

Yo

Their estimated times for delivery are typically way off.

Dont use grubhub!

G67GA on

This is the worst app you could ever use. They just refund you for everything that’s it. But the refund takes up to 2 weeks (exaggeration) instead of 5 days like they say. I waited 10 days for a $40 refund. Just to keep calling customer service and I ask for english and they speaking in tongues. Don’t ever use grubhub unless you tryna finesse!

To expensive

Allah C on

United States

Way to expensive. Shouldn’t have to pay $20 for coffee and donuts

Horrible first experience

jea18282 on

After taking forever to even place the order it was still wrong and managed not to come. The driver did not listen to the specific notes and went to a house Nowhere near mine

Worst customer service out of the 3 major delivery apps

Dudeezzzz on

United States

I’ve used Uber eats and DoorDash and Grubhub has the worst customer service. It is very common for drivers not to find items from convience stores and Grubhub makes it very difficult to get your money back once a driver does not find an item. With Uber eats there is an easy option that lets you pick “item is missing.” Grubhub is missing this functionality and they make you wait 10-30 minutes to talk to someone and once they do talk to you they don’t even have your basic information (also not an issue with Uber eats. Uber eats resolves my issue in less than 5 minutes. Grubhub takes over an 30 mins to solve a common issue that’s always occurring. I am definitely switching back to Uber eats

This app is a scam

kanye west numb2 on

United States

My burrito at chipotle normally is only $10. On Grubhub, it is $15.50. The only reason I’m using this sorry app is because I had a $10 gift card. How the heck does Grubhub somehow get a 50% increase of price. Ridiculous. Absolute scam.

2000% slower with AI support that is built to drive you away

Aftremn on

United States

App still fails to function properly. The customer support chat bot/ai kept repeating itself then gave me a dialup connection number to call (machine connection noises answered me). As long as everything works, it works fine, but the moment a driver is out of position (the driver assigned to deliver my food couldn’t physically get to the restaurant to pickup the food prior to the end of the quoted delivery window which is something that the ai has not been trained on).

Terrible Service

JovanMiles on

United States

I’ve used Grubhub a total of 5 times and 2 out of those 5 times my order has been more than an hour late. Late arriving orders or orders that don’t arrive at all are a feature and not a bug. Do yourself a favor and use another food delivery app like Uber Eats.
