Guardian Puzzles & Crosswords

There’s no undo button (frustrating if you want to keep your annotations but make a mistake on a sudoku) and the keyboard is frustrating because it’s smaller than the iPad one and harder to type on. It’s also annoying to be asked to set up and pay a fairly hefty subscription to use the app, just to do the same crosswords and puzzles that you can play for free on the guardian website. Apart from that the app is okay - it works but it’s definitely not worth paying to use beyond the free trial.

Completely broken app. Freezes every few seconds. Can’t scroll, click, anything.

I enjoy the crosswords but I often have to delete the app and download a fresh copy as it keeps failing to open.

I use this app daily, and love the slick clean interface. I have never had any of the app issues that others have reported here. I’ve been using the app about 2 years. It is daily updated to include the days puzzles and is super easy to use. I would like the following features added: - personal records (fastest solve for a particular puzzle type) - ability to highlight multiple cells in sudoku - in-app calculator or combinations possible for the killer sudoku (I’m not good enough at mental maths for that…) These would be serious cherries on a delicious cake.

I haven’t managed to access a single puzzle yet. I open the app and it immediately freezes.

Just downloaded and every time I open the app it freezes. As a regular buyer of the Guardian newspaper I am really disappointed, particularly as reading the reviews it’s not a new problem and nothing seems to being done about it! Now to delete the app.

Opened the app for the first time on my iPad, saw the available crossword puzzles (all of which were from early 2022 - it's currently July 2023) but nothing worked. Wherever I tapped, nothing happened. Force quit it and opened again. Some of the puzzles were now recent but, again, tapping anywhere did nothing. Back to the website for me.

I have just changed my iPad and discover that this app now defaults to my other Apple ID (not the one used for App Store), so it is impossible to log in to my subscription. Surely this is not difficult to remedy?

Subscribed to this app but it just freezes on opening. No app support contact available. I am running recent iOS.
