Guitar Amps Reviews

It’s good but got some issues

draw man 07 on

It’s good, but I’ve had a problem with latency so far I haven’t found a way to fix it, the latency isn’t horrible but it’s still noticeable and trips you up when you play. I’ve also had issues with it randomly cutting in and out and having bad feedback. But other than that happening it’s a good app when it works

Just wow!

Incredible App! I was skeptical at first, but Deplike has blown me away. The amp simulations are top-notch and the effects are so versatile. Finally found the tone I’ve been searching for!

Cannot review as it does not open. Will update when it’s fixed. ****** Update ****** works perfectly now! Restarting my iPhone did the trick. Just not used to having to do that after installing an app, but no big deal. Overall, this is a great app. Very easy to use and very impressive!

Finally! Clean IO

I have tried most of the amp sim apps and I think this one is the best free app hands down. The others have so much noise and artifacts in their signal chain; BUT WOW! When I got going with this one it’s absolutely clear and clean. I just canceled out of GE Labs after it lost all my presets and was looking for something new. This app started with 5 presets that you model a few pedals amps and cabs that are free. So far this app beats all the others in UI simplicity and design- but above everything, it’s really clean, no feedback, and sounds fantastic! Thank you to the developers for providing a free opportunity to play on this amp sim and find out how great your product is!

User friendly. Not so much when linking with a recording app.

I always have to close and reopen DepLike multiple time when linking it with my recording apps. But, when it does finally link up, I am very satisfied with the sound on both the live monitor and recorded playback. Much cleaner and higher quality sound than the built-in channels the recording apps provide.

Doesn’t unlock even with a year subscription purchase

Mississippi Geologist on

Doesn’t unlock even with a year subscription purchase. I’ve tried everything. Redownloaded it but still won’t let you unlock anything but the free presets. I’ve restored the purchase and it says I haven’t purchased anything yet but I go to the App Store and it says that I already purchased it. This thing looks so cool but after several hours of trying, I give up.

Don’t buy this app!

James Wraithbhöner on

Touts AUv3 functionality. There’s an AUv3 plug-in all right. It basically just tells you to open the stand alone app. I can use Audio Bus or Inter-App Audio with any other effects app if that’s what I wanted to do. More than 3/4 of the available guitar effects and cabs require additional purchase and the quality of what is available with the initial purchase, are overall, of very poor quality. Sorry. Do better. In summary, Just save your money and get something else. Ridiculous. Instant buyers remorse.

Needs 3rd Party Hardware Support

I like the basic functionality of the app. It really could use a better guide, especially for people who’ve never used an app like this and don’t know how to properly use and create tones. However, once you get past that, there is an amazing number of quality tones, some of which are created by Deplike while most others are user generated. You can create your own tones too, which is quite fun and an interesting method to spice up some inspiration for guitar playing! This is a great alternative option for ToneBridge. I don’t know what happens past the trial period and how much functionality will be lost behind a paywall — but if you pay for full access, it the cost seems fair for what you’re getting. Deplike really needs wireless MIDI support. I am specifically interested in wirelessly connecting the polyphonic Jamstik Studio MIDI guitar made by Zivix (which is also an analog guitar). I’d also like to see official support for the upcoming JamStack 2 Smart amp (made by another company). Their amp can technically support any 3rd party effects app, but it would be a much better experience to have official support. Both developers are interested in providing API’s to get their products supported by 3rd party apps. Please reach out to them. Also, I am very interested in helping you beta test Deplike to ensure a great UX, as well as getting the above two products supported. I have 23 years of voluntary experience with testing hardware/software and already use TestFlight. I can test on Android as well. Please let me know how I can reach out to you if you’d like a quality tester to provide continual feedback, bug reports, etc. with photo/video screenshots wherever possible. Thanks!
