Description

Hurricanes, Tropical Storms, Large area natural disasters happen and are dangerous. They can even overwhelm traditional 911 systems either through an overload of emergency calls or damaged cell towers leaving people with serious emergencies frustrated and unable to get through to emergency services.

That's where GulfSAR comes in. With GulfSAR installed on your smartphone we will use any connection available including internet connection and text message to get your emergency to the right emergency services along with your exact GPS coordinates to help emergency responders get to your location faster. Any emergency that you send through GulfSAR will send all relevant data first through your device’s internet connection (if available) and then via SMS text message through the “Text to 911” service (where available), thus increasing the odds even during natural disasters that your situation will be communicated to emergency responders.

Along with your GPS coordinates and current emergency situation, some of the information that you can optionally include are:
- Name
- Age
- Gender
- Medications that you currently take
- Important Medical Conditions or History
- Allergies
- Special Needs or Considerations

All of this information is kept securely on your smartphone and will ONLY be sent to emergency responders to help them better respond to your situation.
