I lost all my progress

I was on level 16 or 17 (don’t remember exactly), I was playing a match and then suddenly I got disconnected and the game offered me to choose and customise a new character as if I was starting from scratch. And now I cannot restore my progress! Hours of game time just wasted. What a disappointment…
