GWENT FAQ
Is GWENT free?
GWENT is not free (it costs 49.90), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is GWENT legit?
🤔 The GWENT app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
Some of the texts are out of my iPad frame, the text to speech in the cinematography doesn't sync, I can't watch the credit, also sometime in game when I want to read the story the text glitching (become double). It's hard to scroll up/down the menu/story in game with my iPad.
Need more bosses and cards!
I really love the game. I’ve played it multiple times through and completed the main story on Maximum difficulty. I would really like to see an update that gives more bosses and more cards.
How do you ask for a refund?
Such a downgrade from ThroneBreaker, i lost hope at the title and splash screen.
Great except for last card
I love this game except for one glaring aspect. The enemy is always the last to play a card (that’s not the issue) and the game moves on and declares defeat or victory without giving you a chance to find out how you won or lost (more importantly lost). There’s no way to go back and see the last enemy turn. For instance, on my last round, I ended my turn 32 points up on the enemy. On enemy’s last turn, lots of stuff happened very quickly and suddenly it shows my defeat by one point. I think this is a major oversight and very frustrating. It’s very annoying to lose on the last turn, but infuriating to not even know how or why!
Great mechanics. Game crashes constantly.
I love the storyline and the experience. It’s well thought out and challenging at the level you want it to be. The CONSTANT crashing breaks all of that. Strategically it’s very disconcerting and can cost someone a whole run. I want to love it, but fix the crashing.
Can’t complete tutorial
Any complete tutorial. Says double tap card but it’s frozen and doesn’t do anything. What’s going on with this game anyways? I have played twenty before. This seems different. I don’t understand what is going on.
Just not worth 10 bucks
Not sure what CD Projekt Red was going for with this game. I’ve been pro rank in Gwent a couple times and have plenty of experience with the game. Rogue mage attempts to make Gwent a single player experience and it’s just not that fun. Many complaints and some good things too so I’ll start with the good and then the bad.
Good
1. The game can be played offline making it a good time when internet can’t be reached
2. Gwent is a great game and you should try it if you haven’t
3. The game is challenging, so if you’re into that, you’ll enjoy the challenge.
Bad
1. They’ve changed all the cards in this game. They’ve changed some of the mechanics too… why..? No great reason. But it makes the game confusing for Gwent players.
2. The graphics aren’t great, the writing is meh and there’s no great story to follow.
3. My biggest complaint is that this game costs 10 dollars… it’s a cash in. If it was free with some dlc… okay fine. But 10 bucks for this game is somehow a rip off. And 10 bucks isn’t much. If you want to play Gwent, go buy it for free and play Gwent and buy all the dlc you want. This game is boring and tedious and isn’t worth 10 bucks. Isn’t worth 5 honestly.
4. To me there’s nothing more frustrating than building up a cool deck, having everything right, beating a level and then having to start all over with a new deck. Why not let us keep our decks? Every “run” is the same, so many of the enemies are repeated.
This game could have been great but it’s just not. For 10 bucks you’d have more fun with a wishing well.
Worth playing
Keep publishing single player gwent based games more frequently and add cards and trophies from this game to gwent multiplayer
Game is trash
It would be alright if the game didn’t crash all the time and when it does crash if you’re in a match it starts over with some games taking like a half an hour, pretty disheartening when you lose that time multiple times.
Gwent Singleplayer
I’ve been waiting for another single player experience after Gwent for so long after Thronebreaker. I love the rogue like aspects for this game but just wish they added the three rounds back in for boss fights or something as well as more deck building options. I really hope they continue on with the single player Gwent games. (Another review mentions energy or P2W aspects, there’s none of that here.)
