Description
GyroSynth is a gesture driven music synthesizer, which takes full adventage of the gyroscope. You can play and modulate the sound by moving your hand through the air - just like the legendary Theremin instrument.
GyroSynth makes use of the gyroscope to measure true roll, pitch, and yaw and translates them to sound parameters like pitch, volume, modulation or filter cutoff. Thanks to phenomenal accuracy (2000 degrees), you can play melodies perfectly in tune.
GyroSynth is a finalist in 'Most Innovative App' category at the 2010 Best App Ever Awards (148apps).

Very cool, inspiring and fun to experiment with.
Very nice application
This synth is very inspiring. Ive always wanted to try, and learn the Theremin, however I get the feeling the Gyrosynth is good enough for this. Hard to handle, but very well working and cool sounds.
Great App! Needs one thing….
I love this app. It’s the only gestural synth that can play back samples that I am aware of on the iPhone. I really love it. However, it only allows file sharing with iTunes. You can’t connect to Google Drive or even Dropbox to load samples into it. I know it is asking a lot of a free app, but this is so well done. If they would just add Google Drive downloads or at least enable sharing with the AudioShare app. If the developers read this, please, please add Google Drive as a way to import audio files. I am an experimental musician and like to edit my samples on the desktop, not my phone. This would raise this app up a notch. Heck, I’d pay for that option.
No sound
No sound no matter what I do. Does nothing.
Crashed and would not work
Bought app today and worked great first time around. Tried a second time and it did not work.
No longer works
Loved the app but it no longer makes any sound on ios16
