Halo Waypoint

Doesn’t tell you your K/D. Why are they so scared to have stat tracking and K/D easily available. I was already annoyed when they replaced K/D with the KDA stat, which is just dumb in its entirety. Yet Microsoft shuts down every third party stat tracker that actually give useful info. Concerning the app itself, garbage. Buggy. Poorly optimized. Doesn’t work half the time. “Slip-space Malfunction Detected” no your app just crashed, you worthless excuse for a dev. It does give the ability to view some stats/medals, and even lets you filter for specific game modes, which is nice, but nowhere on there will it tell you your number of deaths, so you can’t even calculate your own K/D. It’s better than nothing I guess, but if you think I’m going to thank you for graciously bestowing a morsel of adequacy upon me, not happening. Microsoft is too successful a company to put out such a shoddy product. Be better.

The graph showing your kills deaths amazing like beautiful but medals are sus crashed when refreshed I love halo way point but I need to filter my arena vs social quick plays we need ranked slayer and we need to dilate this graph with consistent game types to accumulate intelligence data not cycling CTF ODD BALL THEN SLAYER THEN KOH I know halo on some but we need better separation for competitive game modes like halo 5 onyx in all competitive categories was very exhilarating and pulled you in wanting you to play ctf and odd ball to show you are the mad but being forced to play it is frustrating

Cannot search for custom forge maps and save to profile. Cannot scroll through progression challenges. Mind you, both of these things work if you log into waypoint on a browser. Please fix.

I like to use to app to check in each week to see what the weekly ultimate reward is, however, it is placed underneath the weekly challenges and the scroll bar either does not work at all (most cases) or is extremely inconsistent (scroll moves minuscule amount after many attempts). The menu I am referring to is located on the “companion” page under “progression” swiping right on “daily challenges” and finally expanding “weekly challenges”.

This app is slow, buggy, and you can’t purchase anything from the shop unless you’ve purchased in-game currency and loaded the shop in the game. That is, it’s impossible to buy anything in the shop via the app if you haven’t loaded the game since buying in-game currency. It’s super annoying. Finally, the game-switcher design (WITH THE LITTLE SHOPPING CARTS?!) is such a waste of high-value screen space. The shopping cart makes this app look like an intern project. The lack of polish on this app seems to underscore the fractured efforts in developing Halo Infinite.

Halo Waypoint is a very interesting app, in which it allowed me to check the shop, and see my challenges and battle passes in Halo Infinite, and see my stats in MCC on the go. However, one thing is missing and has been for a while now. Ever since Lone Wolves has dropped, customization of your spartan in Halo Infinite has suddenly ceased without a trace. Granted, this may be because 343 and Microsoft need to update the textures from Lone Wolves so you can equip your season 2 cosmetics with ease via the app, but taking down the entire customization because of that seems kind of exaggerated, when you could just put a "texture not added yet; check back later" sign on the items which haven't been added yet. However, if there is another reason for why they removed it, I would like to know why. Other than that, Halo Waypoint is a good app to use.
