"HanDBase for iPhone is a very powerful and customizable database. There's really no competition to HanDBase, and given their long history and track record in the handheld world, HanDBase will be adopted quickly in businesses where custom databases are needed. At [Price], this app is a bargain." TUAW.com review
"If you’re sick of buying [...] iPhone/Touch applications that don’t live up to their hype – then you should look at HanDBase" GearDiary.com review

HanDBase Database Manager Reviews
Once upon a time this was a very good app
However, this database creating app has been updated recently and it already has a bug which I found out just a few minutes ago. I have many databases and in one of them this app abruptly closed without saving when I tried to create a new record and this goes on and on and there is no way to add a new record in my database. Very bad.
Sep 2018 and updated App but still I can’t add new record in my databases. App suddenly quits when I try to add one. This is a bug developer should rectify.
Love it! But…..
I have used this app to create multiple databases, but lately it’s been crashing often. I hope the developer continues to update it. I’d be sorry to see it leave the App Store.
12 Year User
I’ve had HanDBase on all my phones from the iPhone 4 to the 15 Pro Max. There’s always something I want to keep track of and I’ve never found an app better for it. And now that I can plug in a cheap and handy USB scanner, it’s even more useful.
good multi-purpose dbase
I've been using Handbase since the PalmOS days. Still does a good job with lists and records.
Was great, now basically useless
I really loved this app, it was a great way to create secure databases of whatever I needed. But I also need to be able to update those databases and add new information, and now whenever you try to update an existing record, the app crashes and the info does not get saved. I emailed the company, but they couldn’t even be bothered to respond.
Still The Best
This has always been, and still is the very best database program out there. It has a long history and hopefully a long future because many users still rely on it!!!
Great utility, while alone in the field
There are plenty of db apps but I not found anything to match. Easy to create personal db. Easy to make and edit entries. Easy to design data entry screens.
I’ve tried to find competitors that are available in both iOS and Windows, web or client based. Nothing as straightforward and functional as this. I love that the software is client-based, though, not web-based. I use gigabit internet day and night for work and home, but I only loose with a browser-based app.
Crashes constantly
This app worked OK until I had more than approx 50 records in a db. Each db is pretty simple, an artist’s painting db, each record with minimal fields. When it approached 50 records it constantly crashes upon data entry, doesn’t save the data, and/or refuses to even open. I can’t even scroll through the records without it crashing. Bought the desktop app thinking at least I can still be productive if the phone app is crap. Nope, the desktop app is equally crap. Doesn’t do me much good to sync if it doesn’t carry over the actual photos of the paintings. A complete waste of money. Tried emailing the developer more than once and have never received a response. Bad coding, bad apps, and bad customer service. Tracking via Pages or Numbers would be more productive, more efficient, and less infuriating than using this abomination of an app.
Instructions for backup to iCloud
I have been using this app on an iPhone, without making backups of the files -- not a good idea. I finally discovered how to backup HanDBase files to the iCloud:
1. tap on the three dots to the right of the file name.
2. tap on "Open in"
3. select (tap on) "HanDBase file"
4. scroll down to "save to files"
5. tap on "save to files"
6. the file name and destination are automatically selected; you can change them by tapping and editing. If needed, new folders can be added by tapping on the "+folder" icon.
App crashes, no support
Now that I have several databases with 500 records this app crashes every few minutes while using. I have paid for the app so it’s disappointing that requests for support go unanswered. If you have a serious use for this program I would avoid it.
