Description

The Hanna Lab App turns your iPhone or iPad into a full-featured pH meter when used with a Hanna Instruments HALO® or HALO2 pH probe with Bluetooth® Smart technology or a data management system when used with a Hanna Instruments HI98494 Multiparameter Bluetooth Portable pH/EC/DO meter or HI97115 Marine Master Waterproof Multiparameter Photometer.
The Hanna Lab App now features Hanna Cloud compatibility. Once connected, data from HALO and HALO2 probes, HI98494 and HI97115 meters, can be automatically uploaded to Hanna Cloud. Hanna Cloud is a free web-based application accessible from your PC, tablet, or phone. Features will vary depending on the connected device. They include but are not limited to live measurements, trend graphs, log history, device settings, alarms, and target ranges.
* HALO or HALO2 pH Probes
When used with HALO pH probes, functions include:
- Clear and concise calibration screens for calibration of up to 5 points.
- Saved data points may be annotated with measurement-specific information.
- Data is automatically saved every hour. Data can be shared via PDF or CSV format.
- Dynamic graphing provides measurement information linearly. Graph axes may be expanded using pinch-to-zoom technology for enhanced viewing.
When connected to Hanna Cloud, log files from the HALO pH probes can be uploaded automatically or manually from log history. Files on the cloud can be merged and exported with a reduced logging interval. Annotated readings from the HALO probes can be uploaded immediately to the cloud and saved in a separate data file.
* HI98494 Multiparameter Meter
When used with a HI98494 Multiparameter Bluetooth Portable pH/EC/DO meter, functions include:
- Data can be shared via PDF or CSV format.
- Downloaded log files with dynamic graphing. Graph axes may be expanded using pinch-to-zoom technology for enhanced viewing.
- GLP information for the previous five calibrations.
- User-selectable measurement units.
When connected to Hanna Cloud, log files can be uploaded automatically or manually in log history. New data added to uploaded log-on-demand files is automatically synced to the cloud. Log files that have been uploaded to the cloud have user-selectable parameters measurement units, and four parameters can be graphed at the same time.
HI97115 Marine Master Photometer
When used with a HI97115 Marine Master Waterproof Multiparameter Photometer, functions include:
- User-defined method groups for routine analysis.
- Readings can be collected using the app or synced directly from the HI97115 meter.
- Data can be shared via PDF or CSV format.
- Trend data with dynamic graphing. Graph axes may be expanded using pinch-to-zoom technology for enhanced viewing.
- The ability to update meter firmware.
- A demo meter has been included, showing all the features of this app.
When connected to Hanna Cloud, log files can be uploaded automatically or manually in log history. When connected to Hanna Cloud, user-defined target ranges can be set, and four parameters can be graphed at the same time.
Hanna Lab is compatible with iOS 12 or newer and iOS devices with Bluetooth 4.0.

Hanna Lab Reviews

Pretty useless

TheGamingArt on

When used in conjunction with the Hanna tester, this app is pure uselessness. It’s can just import logs from the device, can’t be used to monitor test statuses when in tutorial mode.. I mean.. seriously. It’s state is reset each time it’s backgrounded and disconnected from the device. What a waste.

Does all I want it too

Great app with all the functions I need, I would update to five stars if they add a dark mode so I can save battery.

Bluetooth no longer connects to probe

I’ve been using this app for about nine months. It has worked well although it is always been finicky connecting to the probe via the app. Sometimes it would connect automatically, other times I would have to reestablish the connection manually. Now I can’t get it to connect at all which means I can’t measure pH in my brewery.

Solid app, great support

I’ve been using the app for about a year and it’s remarkable! Calibration is quick and I find it easy to read. I do wish that there were a few more customization options regarding data logging and calibration slope display.

An amazing app with an amazing probe...

I have had my Foodcare Halo since they released it, and I have nothing but positive things to say...(to the guy 1 staring this - dude, you don't have to give the app a 1 star because you received a damaged meter. It was most likely UPS, so before you go giving terrible reviews why don't you call the service center. They have been very helpful to me, especially when I broke my first electrode they sent a replacement free of charge). It is an accurate meter, affordable, and the app for my iPad mini runs very smooth. I love that it stays accurate over many uses. I mean, the ability to save calibration is very nice. I've also done data logging with the app, and it is awesome to be able to download the data points to a csv file and create a curve in Excel. It's a jaw dropper in the kitchen when I get the Bluetooth meter out and link it to my iPad. It's awesome to get such a response to the equipment! I recommend to everyone looking to get a nice, accurate, affordable pH meter...

Probe Broken

Was looking forward to using this tool. Paired pH sensor with app and app reported temp sensor was broken, and the pH of my 4.0 buffer solution read 16. Packing unit up and sending it back. Bummer

Hanna can't be serious..

I have been wanting to try this app for a very long time, as the HALO probe and this app could be extremely useful in my business, however the notes system is horrible!! Being able to enter relevant information about my samples is what makes this useful, but I get like 2 seconds to hit a tiny little button at the top of the display so I can enter 14 characters.. what!!! Honestly infuriating. There ought to be tags like twitter for sorting in addition to a notes section where I can enter other relevant information and maybe even snap a picture! Might even be cool to incorporate the camera throughout for certain lab work, live video feed with ph displayed! I don't think loading a picture should be an option, only in app pictures.
