Happiest Baby, makers of SNOO

We bought the snoo for our first and enjoyed the app and the product. It worked well and we could try different settings that worked for our baby. With our second, the default setup does not work. He sleeps better in a crib than the snoo, and I can’t try anything because everything is a $20/month subscription. Given how expensive the product is, it makes no sense to have a subscription along with it. I’ve gone from a promoter of the product to telling my friends it’s simply not worth it. All because the company wants to charge $20/ month for 4-6 months on a $1500+ product.

It doesn’t sooth baby and basic features that might help are locked behind a subscription. Don’t pay for this garbage.

Horrendous app. Spend almost two grand on this thing and can't use it until you download this app. Forget about it if you owned it with the old snoo app - just spent three hours trying to connect using that app before I switched to an old Android phone with the new app. Pathetic. Doesn't support 20th century wifi. Look at the data it collects about you (and then sells!) just so your kid can get a night of sleep. An absolutely shameful company.

Misleading and lacking basic CRUD functionality! My wife and I have had multiple bottles, nursing sessions, and diapers get dropped from the app. The developers need time to fix the bugs.

Latest update disconnected devices. Needless to say this is frustrating to find out at 2am!

Between baby 1 and baby 2, I am now required to buy a $20 per month subscription for full control from the app. I read another review calling this greed and the response from Happiest Baby said it’s because the Snoo was bought second hand. It is not a cost to support thing, you are targeting people who cannot afford to buy a new Snoo by squeezing every dollar out of them.

I’ve used this snoo for 4 of my 5 children and LOVED it. Now that they are requiring additional money for an insanely expensive bassinet just to be able to access the basic features like sleep logs is insane. I will not recommend this to other moms. So disappointed.

Let’s start with the good. I love that I can pause the snoo from my phone. I like the log tab and how you can quickly see your logged times and amounts for feeding, sleep, etc. I love that I can share my account with my husband and other members of our child care team. There are a few major issues I have his this app all rooted around “overlapping sessions.” Currently I will get this warning serval times a day. If my husband started a session and didn’t pause it or if the snoo is left on, or I don’t know why because the warning does not let you cancel or override the overlap!!!!! So many sleep logs are getting missed.

We bought a SNOO for $1,000 on the secondary market and had a good experience using it with our first child. Naturally, we expected the same with our second—until we discovered that Happiest Baby has crippled the app unless you pay for a ridiculously overpriced subscription. What used to be included with the product is now held hostage behind a paywall. This is one of the most shameless cash grabs I’ve encountered from a baby product company. Locking core functionality that was once standard behind a subscription—especially for a product that costs as much as a crib and a night nurse combined—is nothing short of exploitative. The SNOO used to be something I’d recommend. Now I actively warn new parents against it. If you value transparency, fairness, or the ability to use the product you paid for without ongoing ransom payments, stay far away.

For something that is so expensive, it is insane to me that you have to pay $20 to fully access this product. We could not afford to buy a new Snoo, so because of this we have to pay $20 a month to get full access (even used this was a pricey buy)!!! You can only get a happy baby if you have $$ to spend I guess! This practice should be illegal. If you buy a premium car, you can’t charge extra to access the premium settings that are built into the car- even if you buy it used.
