5 for content, 2 for ease of navigation
The content and stories are amazing and the virtual reality options are great— it allows you to “visit” the sites without actually having to be there so the app is a great resource even if you aren’t visiting the eastern shore. The stories are also appropriate for all ages so great for families. Unfortunately it’s difficult to navigate using the app, primarily because the map and the list of sites are numbered differently. It’s okay if you’re on the map as you can click on a point and it tells you the name and site number so but if you’re in the list of sites and trying to find the next place on the map, you can’t go to the map and find it easily (i.e. the William Still site is #30 in the site list but if you go to the map and click on icon #30 it’s site 21D, the East New Market slave market. It’s also hard to navigate for the lone driver— would definitely recommend having someone along just to navigate and pay attention to directions.
