Absolutely Terrible - Offline Magazines and Content Inaccessible

Almonetts on

United States

As a strong advocate for the magazine in both educational and corporate settings, the revised app and push to online articles only instead of magazine downloads is unwelcomed and did not take into consideration preferences of long-established users. HBR should consider refunding annual subscriptions for this inconvenience and make it a priority to addressing this concern.

How do I access current edition of the magazine?

Useless app

Can not read offline Glitchy at best HBR should get a digital subscription to the economist and model them

New version not great

Quark5356 on

United States

The feature allowing download of magazine issues is gone. This was critical for reading offline.

How to butcher a user experience by HBR

jefftracy on

United States

Update 6/16/24: still awful no changes made to offline use or audio articles. Learn from the Economist legacy app to see what makes a great app - their legacy app is the best ever. This app was previously difficult to use. Very hard to download previously purchased articles and not usable offline on a plane. The latest version takes away audio, takes away back articles, is completely unusable on a plane. I don’t know how you could take something that was maybe a three of best and turn it into a negative number but that’s what HBR did here do not ever use this app. This is the worst update of an app in the history of all apps.

Terrible app design and UX

TB in ZRH on

United States

For a publication with such rich content - and a strong POV on the tech business - this app is appalling. Difficult to use, impossible to find articles, or even the current issue. Truly terrible.

Where did the previous Magazines go?

Jusadog on

United States

Been a user for years. And while I appreciate the trend in focusing and on articles and, I also want to be able to view/navigate to previous articles by the issue they were located in. This new format doesn’t achieve that effectively. Some of us appreciate picking an issue and reading in that manner; I want to review issue in my Library by the cover!

Bring back audio content

davidity on

United States

As a longtime user of the prior app, I find the newer version quite disappointing. It feels like it was released too soon and is still in beta. One of the biggest issues for me is the lack of any audio content. I used to enjoy listening to articles while on the go, and this absence is a significant drawback.

HBR reliable resources!
