Been using another app: pocket expense for last 8 years but it no longer gets updated and there is a problem with sync. So I tried about 5-6 new apps and finally decided on MoneyStats. I have been happily using MoneyStats over the past 2 months. Upgraded almost all the options.
There are other slightly more fanciful app but those required monthly or yearly subscription. I wanted a one-off payment.
If I can have a wish list, it will be to be able to edit or view online on a laptop.
Great App with potential to grow
This is a very promising app. I’ve been searching for an app like this for years! (Not exaggerating) I used to use an app called Pocket Money which served most of my needs (account-tracking-wise) and was a very comprehensive and detailed app.
However, the creator stopped updating when new iOS came out through the years. Now it’s no longer available for download on the App Store. I still use it, but via an older model of iPhone. It has more simplified fields to fill in for every new transaction/expense/income etc.
I like the variety of fields MoneyStats have too, but maybe an option to customised and choose what shows up when inputting new entries would b nice, as I don’t use quite a few of them.
But all in all, I’ve downloaded 1-2 dozens of expense tracking apps over the years since, & MoneyStats looks good, with great functionality so far. A few areas where improvements can be made aesthetically and to the UI, but it doesn’t affect the skeleton and main framework of what this app set out to accomplish.
