Created by a Vestibular Physical Therapist
Healing Vertigo was created by a Canadian Registered Physiotherapist who has specialized training and years of experience in vestibular rehabilitation and the treatment of vertigo. This knowledge and experience have been transferred into a simple app, allowing you to have the benefits of a therapist within your device while keeping you safe.
How Does the App Work?
The most common cause of vertigo is from Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), where tiny crystals from one part of our inner ear fall into another part, causing symptoms of vertigo, dizziness and imbalance. There are 4 varieties of BPPV, and understanding how to determine which you have and how to treat it can be challenging on your own.
With this App we will show you how to test for all types of BPPV using the Dix-Hallpike and Head Roll Test. By completing the tests and answering a few questions, we will be able to determine the EXACT type of BPPV you have and from there we will lead to you the specific treatment maneuver you need to resolve your symptoms. Treatment maneuvers include the Epley, BBQ Roll, Gufoni, Semont’s and Casani. We do all this while providing you easy patient-focused videos and important tips to ensure you remain safe.
Get Healing!
Instead of trying to decipher an online world full of variable information and numerous videos of maneuvers that may not be right for you, let us help you so you know you are on the right track. We are here to bridge the gap between patients and specialists, providing reliable and safe information so you can manage this condition yourself, resolve your vertigo, and get you back to feeling like yourself again.
