Command your party of four heroes as they fight to protect the last remnants of humanity. Born in a time of warring gods and dark powers, your four unlikely heroes embark on a grim journey set in the sprawling and immense post-apocalyptic medieval world of Steel.
It is the dawn of the Seventy First Year after the world has fallen. Four of the Thirteen Gods rose up against their creator, the All-Father, and destroyed him in a cataclysmic event. In the following years of darkness and ruin, the kingdoms of man fell in war and flame. In the final days before all was lost, under the guidance of an ancient order of druids, the survivors retreated to a mysterious underground labyrinth; the Underdeep. Now, in the Underdeep, the last remnants of humanity are scratching out a living and trying to rebuild a society, but are quickly discovering that evil has followed them beneath the surface.

Heroes of Steel is a tactical turn-based RPG in which you lead a group of four unique characters, each with their own talents, special powers, and abilities on their quest through the world of Steel. Engage in tactical combat with the ferocious, devious, and magical enemies who threaten humanity's last settlements. You must decide how to develop each character’s individual strategy in order to build a powerful and dynamic team capable of triumphing over the impossible odds. As you traverse the sprawling world of Steel, your party will face a myriad of challenges, battles, extensive mazes and fearsome enemies of all varieties.
Savor full character customization, deciding how to increase your attributes, skills, and powerful talents. Equip each of your characters with a variety of weapons, armor, and up to three mundane or magical accessories. As your party explores the dungeons, cities and crypts of the world, you will decide the overall strategy and approach your team takes. Choose between hundreds of levels of talents and thousands of combinations of equipment.
Our indie role playing games dev team is actively continuing development to make this the top RPG. We are very receptive to feedback to help Heroes be the best RPG it can be.
With full control of every turn and aspect of your four characters, you can plan every turn with exacting control. Heroes was made for fans of adventure RPGs, board games, and roguelikes. If you enjoy strategy games or tactical RPGs, you will enjoy this classic RPG.

One of the best tactical RPGs on mobile

jhocking on

United States

I’m a longtime fan of SRPG/TRPG so lately I’m on a kick of trying out different ones on mobile. This is one of the best I’ve found, and I’m definitely buying the full version.

Great Tactical Play!

LEP2011 on

The game is a great value. It’s not play to win at all. You only pay for added content, about $10 all in. If you like optimizing your characters and having lots of options this is the RPG for you. Just when you think you have it all figured out, there are new surprising combat challenges. Highly recommended.

Great story

I played the game all the way through and it was exactly what I was looking for. I well developed story that unfolded as you make critical decisions that impact the outcome of game. There are limited characters to pick from but different ways to build your team. The developers even help fix bugged games Incase you encounter any.

App fine until end

I’m not joining Facebook to play a game. What a stupid restriction. Do you know Facebook isn’t safe? Do you not read the news?

Heros of steel rpg

I play to kill time on the easy level. First and second segments are fine. After level 30 i do not recommend playing. Null /void hits often go 9 or 10 out of 11 or 12 possible attacks. Basically a bunch of children with coprlithic grey matter playing dysfunctional algorithmic statistical idiocy while sucking vacuum.

3 star game, but 4 for nostalgia

Neily911 on

United States

I probably would give this a 3 based upon the gameplay itself, but knowing and loving the genre for 30 years and seeing something like this on an iPhone for this price pushes it up a notch. I will support this game in its entirety and hope the devs make a sequel with some major improvements as I outline below in the negative section. Positives: If you are a classic Mac rpg fan and loved playing spiderweb games or Cythera from Ambrosia, you will appreciate this game. Very inexpensive for 20+ hours per chapter (but see negatives regarding length below) Not a lot of random unrewarding quests taking you back and forth to an area multiple times so far. Combat often requires thought and planning... absolutely love that. This is not a hack and slash game. Negatives: Long and small printed dialogue Long combat sessions from the beginning of the game. It can get boring Trigger area is huge. You will have enemies from very far away coming at you for ages. Again, takes forever, gets repetitive and boring. The 20+ hours for each chapter seems more related to long dialogue, long combat sessions and far/hypersensitive enemy triggering. It’s not the exploring or amazing storyline which requires 20 hours. It’s the constant combat at every turn and 15 enemies that take forever to get to you that causes the game to be so long. They aren’t adding value in this regard, sadly. Confusing inventory and equip system Complicated leveling/skill system Needs a world map where you can see labeled cities/towns you’ve already explored. For 20+ hours per chapter, you are going to forget names of cities, etc. Loot is very repetitive and there doesn’t seem to be a large variety of gear or weapons. Expect to keep the same weapon/gear for many levels and hours. I’ve yet to find any amazing equip or weapons except as a reward for completing part 1 of chapter 1. Chapter 1 part 2 had nothing valuable at all and the RNG on weapons or gear in chests seems to be basic stuff only. Nothing epic or legendary at all has been found in crates (not that this game has those classifications at all which is a shame, but you know epic or legendary items when you see them) and I am now in chapter 2. The mage blows through SP way too fast. I completely understand that mages are going to use more spell power than a warrior, but a mage can blow through all of their SP in one relatively average battle. That’s a little excessive. HP potions seem irrelevant. With a priest on board there are very

Fantastic gameplay, fantastic support

Gamethor on

Truly excellent RPG with thoughtful and challenging combat rather than twitch-based. Great story, loads of regions to explore, and engaging characters. On top of that, check out the Trese Brothers site to see the incredible level of support they give their customers. Clearly, a game by people who love this style of gaming, and love their work. Will be looking to venture into their other offerings!
