Make your day. The all-new HEY Calendar puts time on your side.
Week after week, not month after month
People think in days and weeks, not months. What’s tomorrow? Later this week? Next week? The HEY Calendar is built around how you think, not how paper calendars were designed.
Habits and highlights
Establish a habit, stick with it. Circle important events so they stand out. Fill your days with memories or moments — not just events.
“Sometime this week” mimics real life
Need to get an oil change? Get some cash from the ATM? Write a thank you note? Maybe this week or next, just not exactly sure when you’ll have a chance? HEY knows “maybe” is a real thing.
And plenty more
The HEY Calendar is a full-featured calendar with many original twists on common — and not so common — conventions. Soon you’ll wonder why all calendars don’t work like this.
- Set countdowns for anticipated events
- Use Day Labels to add context to days
- Set up color-coded sub-calendars
- Flexible reminders so you don’t miss out

It’s not you, it’s me
The HEY Calendar does what it does pretty well, but two features are missing: commercial location finder, and export calendar to Apple’s Calendar. The first one not even Apple gets it, the fact is Google has Maps and they have the businesses, so it’s understandable and acceptable. But not being able to integrate HEY Calendar into Apple Calendar is non-sense. I have to use 2 widgets on the phone, and I miss my HEY events on the watch’s widget. Looking forward to having HEY into Apple’s calendar.
Meh.
This literally brings nothing interesting to the table. It exists because every mail service needs a calendar, but this one is not worth it.
Accountzwang
Great first release
I’ve been using Hey email since few years and calendar is a welcome addition. Only thing I miss is the time tracking feature, that is present in a web version. Otherwise, as always from 37Signals, well thought app with plenty of unique features!
Rethinking our relationship with time
The Basecamp team decided some years ago to reimagine what a modern email should be. Since then, I have been using Hey as my primary email. Now, with Hey Calendar, they have done it again. I am currently transitioning my main calendar to Hey and so far, I am enjoying the way it is set up. It allows for a more natural way to view time, habits, and most importantly, free time.
Some room for improvement
The app fells a bit sluggish at times, but overall it’s definitely a nice addition to their email service.
No iPad support
Looks promising. You can see a lot of thought and attention to detail has gone into this product, and I really appreciate it.
Unfortunately no iPad support, which is kind of a deal breaker for me. I hope it will come some day.
Also, one can only share a calendar with other HEY users, no iCal support, other than connecting external calendars of course.
