The biggest issue I have with this app is that it’s very very easy to forget. The notifications for it do not behave similarly to other apps like Facebook, sure you might get a banner message in the notification space but you don’t get a notification sound and it clears the notification as soon as you unlock your phone. This is a problem for people who like me have ADHD and/or need those reminders that we have a message or plan or we assume that the peeps we know on the app don’t care about us. This app also seems to have fallen out of use especially in less populated areas due to these failures in notifications.
Also, they seem to have not kept up to date with the changes over the years, last updated 3 years ago. I can’t even log in anymore because it fails to sync with the updates to login methods. Tried contacting support and no response to my attempts.
Abandoned
No updates in years, and inactive on social media. The app is seemingly abandoned by its developers. Disappointing, this had so much potential.
Love the app
One recommendation yall should recycle matches, I’m out of matches literally sometimes I don’t match with people because of small trivial things (differences in location or hobbies, maybe your too self conscious about yourself) or accidental swipes it’s be nice to be able to do do overs or if there were other ways to match, maybe add a local “groups” (interest) page where you list or match people with members we can contact via the app (that way you never actually run out of matches? Or suggest/Notify us of different people we can relate to we may or may not have swiped passed from time to time? There needs to be something extra to connect people or keep people interests. A real page dedicated to finding events instead of in app notifications would be nice too.
Messaging notifications needs work
I love the idea of an app giving opportunity to meet new friends. However, the biggest flaw of this app is that you’ll only sometimes get notifications when someone has messaged you. If there could be an update where it reminds you of a message missed or even show when someone is online and accurate messaging notification this app would be better. Such potential but a few flaws.
App with lots to offer
The premium version is significantly cheaper than every other app with a similar purpose, it’s actually reasonable. It has cool features like a plan maker and chat parties.
How are there 3 log in options and none of them work, along with no option to just type in your email… I’ve never experienced so much trouble logging into an app in my life. Deleting it at this point
Can’t log in

So much potential it hurts
I’m not gonna be like: “I’m not like other girls” because it perpetuates a stereotype of women that I don't like, but this app is definitely made for one kind of women. The kind that goes to raves, brunch, likes top 40’s music, into astrology, maybe influencers kind of girls? Not that there’s anything wrong with enjoying those things or being those things. In fact, you should use those girls to market it! It could be like: “Hey girlies! I used Hey! Vina to find my bestie and my girl squad! #girlboss”. However, for the rest of us who might not be one of those things, it’s not made for us. It tries to be niche by asking if we’re party girls, coders, athletic, or artistic; single girls, LGBTQ+, entrepreneurs, stay-at-home moms; and introverts, extroverts, or somewhere in between, but caters to one type of person. Cis gender, happy hour, early 20 year olds. I see a lot of old suggestions and none of it taken into effect. It's not a new app. I may not know anything about coding or marketing, but I don't understand how I don't see any advertising for it. Using MeetUp or Living Social would be a great way to advertise for cheap. Having sponsored Vina events, to boost the app. Or showing free events in your area. Letting users customize the app’s interface like a MySpace page. Hiring relationship therapists to give suggestions on how to get comfortable with people. More safety features for meeting people because you can be liable. Don't ask me to send this to my friends. I'm already friends with them! That's your job! I shouldn't be better at marketing this than you! I'm giving you free suggestions (that you should pay me for), but aren't going to take them. Honestly, I wish I could even organize these events. I'd be good at it!
That being said, I'm giving it a three-star review because I see the potential and I do want people to download this app. I love that it has a way to show people activities you want to do and invite them to those things. That's something that could put you over the top than Bumble BFF.
Waste of time
You can’t see any matches or “Vinas” unless you pay for subscription! I paid for the subscription and it was a complete waste of time (barely any messages, very few people on the actual site, no one seemed serious about meeting up). Bumble BFF is 100x times better! It’s a nice idea this Vina app but it clearly has a LOT of work before it’s comparable to other apps.
Camera
The camera don’t even work when I try to use it when I download
