Great app, everything separate

I’ve had the app for over 6 months and I love it! It is amazingly refreshing after putting up with over 10 years the always buggy App (and website) and often poor support of Meetup to use something that works so smoothly. I’ve seen Heylo expand and continue to grow and improve their platform on the app and web. Sometimes there are bugs, but Heylo is great at responding promptly and fixing things right away. I’m not a fan of the way they changed giving emoticon notes on comments work, but that’s the only upgrade I haven’t liked and it’s minor.

I’ve been using Meetup for over ten years and dealing with the same usability issues for just as long. With Heylo, I was able to build out my outdoor group, “Hey, I Wanna Do That!” in less then thirty minutes and invite my peeps over from Meetup. Now I can get back to what I love doing best which is providing great events. Kudos to the responsive team at Heylo for their hard work!

Been using Heylo for a couple years now and love it. Their focus and commitment to supporting leaders and communities is really what sets this apart from most other apps that focus primarily on new event discovery. With Heylo we’ve been able to manage our community with less effort while making a greater impact.

I run a social club for book lovers, and we had been growing so well through social media that there wasn’t a single place to send new members. If someone discovered us on TikTok, I had to direct them to other platforms to understand what we do and how to get involved. I used to have a newsletter, but those can get expensive, and it became overwhelming managing so many different touchpoints and channels. It took time and money I didn’t have. Then I heard about this app from another club that was using it. I quickly looked into it and realized it was perfect for managing all my community members in one space. I love the events tab and being able to get RSVPs, which helps when coordinating with venues for our events. I also love that there’s a chat room for each event, so people attending can connect beforehand. The ability to create multiple chat rooms allows my members to talk in real-time, forming connections and friendships that are hard to find elsewhere. Sure, you can have a Facebook group with chats, but now all our communication is in one place. I also love that admins have an announcement bar, so anytime I need to share important information, people get notified via email and in the app, which is amazing. The fact that this app is free, functional, and easy to use is incredible. It also adds a level of professionalism to the club, showing that we’re legit and making communication so much easier. I’m so happy I found this app—I’ve been able to grow my community here, and I really have nothing negative to say. Plus, the support for leaders to improve and troubleshoot within groups is a great feature. You just can’t find a community like this anywhere else.

App won’t open my groups and I am in the middle of planning for an event. Will edit review when it is fixed. Current status - “our apologies. Something went wrong. Reset / Update / contact Heylo “

I have the American App Store, an iPhone 15, living in France. This app is crashing and useless for me - I have tried to re-download. It works for my French friend who has an android, there is a bug.

Charged my credit card without consent, I contacted them and they were completely unprofessional and refused to correct their mistake Update: Professionals listen to feedback and make improvements rather than deny mistakes

I’ve used this app in joining groups and organizing my own. It’s so easy to navigate, promotes engagement, and makes it easy to see upcoming events. I also love that conversations are organized by topic - no more scrolling through a long group thread to try and find details!
