HFXGO Transit Passes

Halifax has no excuse for how terrible this app is. It would be simple to get support from other cities with mobile fare apps, but instead they’ve designed the worst app I have ever seen, and the functionality is abysmal. Absolutely atrocious. The app does not accept BMO cards, and after speaking with customer service, I learned they “have no solution for this problem at this time” and “the app just doesn’t like BMO”. Today, they failed to accept a Scotiabank card too—in Nova Scotia! In 2024, you only need to be compatible with wallet to solve payment functionality problems. There are endless resources to fix this. They haven’t done their due diligence to get white listed by banks, either. A total embarrassment for Nova Scotians and the city of Halifax.

I bought 20 bus passes on the app, got to use one and have been locked out of my account for weeks now. My email is hooked up to the account I can follow the trail through gmail. But if you forget your password forget about it. You will never get an email to reset your password ever. I’ve tried to reset my password 30 plus times now over the past week, still no email to change. FIGURE IT OUT.

It was working well till it didn’t. I can no longer access my funds or purchase a ticket. I had $8 added to my funds which is probably lost and I am never getting that back. Highly disappointed at how poorly the app is designed. If I cannot purchase a simple ticket using an app then that app no longer serves its purpose.

It works. However, if you need to reset your password, forget it. It never sends you the link to recover it.

Can’t even tell me if a bus is running late or early how can google maps perform “better” then our own city app

Was working well, until May 6, then it no longer will save my card, no matter how many times I try

The app kicked my saved card off even though I was still signed into my account and I’ve had that card saved since I got the app back when it first came out. I missed my bus trying to re enter my card information 🙃

Got error “SDK: purchase.119 Please check your security code, card details and try again” when trying to add my debit card to buy a ticket. 100% positive my security code on my debit card is right, as it’s in my hand when adding the card to the app. Hard to get it wrong when card is in my hand. Unable to use my credit card so can only use my debit card. Have to now take an Uber that I can’t afford to get to work because of this. Please fix this immediately! Thanks

Needed support from the developers on transferring account on to another phone. It’s not just log out of the broken phone and long into the new phone nope. Buses run until after 1am I feel they should have available until the busses stop running to take of problems such as this for now I am without a bus pass at 6pm until some time tomorrow when someone gets in contact to try and resolve my issue and I need my pass tonight. I am very displeased and I hope they do a better job than this.

I can’t use either my debit or credit cards…. And yes, I made sure there were funds available.
