● 3D Maps
As human athletic achievement progresses in the mountains, so does the technology to assist your adventures. With PeakVisor, you unlock the topo maps of the future; our cutting-edge technology with high-precision terrain modeling offers deep insight into the mountain landscape of your choice. With one glance, you be blessed with years of knowledge about an area’s terrain.

● Identify Peaks
Identify more than a million mountains, hills, buttes, spires, and more from all over the world, with a detailed profile for each of them! Our app shows you altitude, topographic prominence, mountain range, national parks or reserves, as well as photos and additional Wikipedia articles.

● Plan Hiking Routes
A vast network of worldwide hiking trails and walking pathways included in PeakVisor’s 3D Maps will help you compose a hiking route which includes evaluating the distance you can expect to hike as well as a route’s elevation profile and estimated time for completion.

● Skiing
In winter mountain sports, PeakVisor’s topographic 3D Maps allow a visual understanding of the terrain and provide detailed information about mountain lifts, ski resort trails, and backcountry ski touring routes. Absolutely amazing app!

We really fell in love with this app while trekking Annapurna Circuit in Nepal. Not only it identifies all peaks flawlessly, it also offers extremely accurate 3D maps and a very good navigation system arguably better than any other trekking apps that we had tried. It literally had never let us down. And added bonus: super cool 3D video recaps of your treks. Buying a lifelong subscription was an easy decision!

Most appreciated app of this year

This must be the best appreciated app I used this year. Used it in the Dolomites (Italy), the Alps (Austria and Zwitserland) while hiking different trails up in the mountains. Informs you which mountains you see (in 2D and 3D), possible to take photo of landscape with info. Most thrilling future was flying in 3D over landscape with all info you need including trail your walking. Just most amazing app and warm recommendation from me. Not so useful in flat countries like my homecountry The Netherlands.

Mooie app, betaalopties teleurstellend

De app werkt over het algemeen prettig en ziet er prachtig uit. Ik heb nog wel ‘ruzie’ met het handmatig in- en uitzoomen in de 3D-kaart op locatie. De zoom wil dan terug springen naar de huidige locatie waardoor het niet goed lukt om de omgeving te verkennen. Het beeld vliegt dan alle kanten op. Begrijpelijk dat er een bedrag gevraagd wordt voor de pro-versie. Spijtig dat dit in de vorm van een jaarlijks of maandelijks abonnement is. Ik gebruik de app hooguit in de vakantie en heb dan geen zin en vooral geen tijd om mij nog druk te gaan maken om één of ander abonnement voor één van mijn vele apps. Vandaar mijn drie sterren waardering.

Mooie app voor als je regelmatig in de bergen te vinden bent en wilt weten hoe heet deze berg en hoe hoog is deze. Alleen het batterij gebruik is aan de hoge kant.

Naam berg moeilijk leesbaar
