Works Surprisingly Well
I've used apps like this in the past with limited success. The uMatch app is about as simple as it gets. Take a picture and it recommends Hirshfield colors that work with the colors in the picture. As a painting contractor, I use this all the time to recommend colors to clients that ask for my opinion.
