You can now find and display your card details on your phone. These aren’t a substitute for your physical card, which you should still carry with you. Displaying your card details digitally does not guarantee that a participating attraction will accept them as proof of membership.
Historic Houses has created this app to trial and develop the idea of digital-only access to attractions offering free entry to our members. The ability to download a digital version of your membership card and use it to redeem offers of free entry to participating attractions is offered as a convenience, not a right. Use is purely at our discretion and the discretion of our participating attractions. Free entry with a digital card only may be refused at any time and for any reason.

Doesn’t update
I concur with other reviewers that’s apps truly useless. I have a joint membership with my mum, and her details are not shown. As a joint membership, surely all accounts linked should be available. In addition despite having just paid the increased annual fee for 2025, the app still shows my card expires Dec 2023. So even just for me - this is pretty useless.
Genuinely one of the worst apps ever
This is a truly bizarre app. All it does is show your membership card but it says you need to carry your card anyway as venues reserve the right to refuse the app and insist on seeing the card. Also if you ever replace your phone, even once, you have to ‘apply’ for permission to reinstall the app. The wording is unnecessarily threatening, almost accusing people of fraudulent activity because they got a new phone and might want to move their app onto it. It’s so out of touch it’s ludicrous.
App doesn’t allow me to log in…
Since last December I’ve been a member of Historic Houses… and since then, I’ve been trying to use the app. This app is useless though. I can’t log into my account, being told that either my email address or my password is wrong. It wouldn’t allow me then to reset my password. I’ve given the app several times the chance over the last nine months, hoping that it would improve. Unfortunately not the case. I might delete it as well…

Historical Houses is great. Unfortunately the app is pathetic. Can’t get past the log in page. How this got accepted to go live is beyond me.
Cannot access app
Apparently I am not permitted to have this app on on more than one device so have to contact “marketing “ to change the device. Ridiculous!
Useless app
I can login on the website, but not on the app. Put in my credentials, hit the login button and literally NOTHING happens. Utterly useless, and a complete waste of time.
Dud app
Absolutely and completely useless. I can’t even go past the “login” page, and the login button doesn’t work. Useless app, don’t bother.
Backward step
The app previously gave house details and a map which was very handy when travelling. The membership card is less useful and at the end of the year doesn’t automatically update. Please return to the original format
