HKTaxi - Taxi Hailing App

This app is really difficult to use for rural users as that’s the only real reason to use this app to request certain taxis. There is no incentive for the taxi drivers to go to your location and fulfil your ride request. I wasn’t able to get a taxi on this app despite several orders whereas I had multiple successes with Uber. I only tried using this app as was requesting a specific car

Very handy to have especially as not fluent in Cantonese. However haven’t been able to download the app onto my phone screen. Have to open the App Store each time to order a taxi- not the end of the world but less convenient

Better than Uber in Hong Kong, and quite often cheaper. There is an option to make cashless payment which is great

The driver call back is awesome and I feel safe and secure at all times

I’m pleased to have an app option to Uber. And I’m VERY pleased to be able to request non-smoking taxis/drivers.

Needs a bit of getting used to but once you get the hang of it, it works pretty smoothly.

If your in HK then this app must be on your phone. Works perfectly with great functionality built in

Unless you have a HK mobile number the app won’t allow you to make payments. Surely an easy fix? I’ve tried every variation of +44, 44, 0044 etc

I always get a taxi using this app. Even in Sai Kung!!! Love the fact I can offer a tip!!

I have been calling a taxi for 25minutes, but didn’t get any even though I offered an extra hkd50tips. So I asked my friend to help me, and we both tried to get a taxi to slightly different locations (one more precise and one not) at the same time. But he got a taxi with just one try without even adding any tips. I’m suspecting that my order wasn’t received or communicated clearly. I’ll probably find another more reliable app.
