Home Inventory Mobile Backup

This is a great app for viewing your Home Inventory entries when away from home. I have used the Home Inventory for Mac for years now as it’s great for storing all that sort of information. Just wish it could use iCloud backup, as iCloud is no longer "a relatively new technology” (as stated in the Home Inventory online FAQ) and I would prefer iCloud over the alternatives.

This app has improved! However I hope in the future that you can add items from your iPhone, iPad, etc then they would wirelessly be able to sync to your Mac.

The home inventory app on the mac is a pretty neat application. The helper apps on the iPhone, not so neat as they sound. Firstly, why two apps? That just doesn't make sense to me. Then there's the adverts. Considering that this app is only useful to look at the main commercial app's files, it seems very silly and a bit annoying. Perhaps the author(s) should take a look at the YNAB model for how it should be done.

Good little app. Easy way to put photos on the Mac program.

It takes a bit of fiddling to get everything working but o so simple when its going. I have been searching for this app for years and have it working for home, holiday house and work. Photos remotely add to the inventory - easy to add details and as long as you have a wireless network, the inventory is quick, accurate and simple to use. Take care to follow the remote instructions. Check the US iTunes web site for more reviews.

There is no initial inventory and no way to create one. So no way of using it...

Great, works well as a backup and browsing tool. Rock solid like the mac app. Suggest combining with the photo remote app.

Not compatible with intel macs. Used to work great but they are no longer supporting intel macs so you can’t backup your inventory to your portable device. I’m not ready to buy a new computer just to use this app.

No longer syncs wiht Dropbox. I purchased these group of Home Inventory apps to keep track of belongings but they no longer work properly. I guess they want you to buy a subscription to the new app. Users that paid for this app should be grandfathered in IMO.

Another great companion app to the main Mac app, “Home Inventory.” Love this mobile backup; it gives me a needed backup, plus allows me to have my inventory detail right on my phone. Great job developer Update 2021.04.17: Still using this app and still really liking it. One thing to consider, would be to allow sorting, ascending/descending on the mobile version. Thanks.
