Great time killer at your own pace

This app is great, simple UI but everything is accessible and well presented. The app doesn’t bother you with notifications or nags you into watching adds or anything like that. You build and battle and do things at your own pace which is something I loved. Ended up purchasing the gold edition to show support to the dev and might buy the ruby as well. Hope that they keep supporting this little gem of a game!

Lost progress

I lost all my progress with the new update. Maxed housing, maxed army, …

I chose this game over my wife!!

I played this game too much and my wife got mad at me. I chose to left her to play the game. The best decision in my life!!

This is a great game, but what would make it better, is having instructions

This is a great game, but what would make it better is having instructions. If there are any in the game, I have yet to find them! I've maxed out everything but storage, but it doesn't tell me what I need to make it so that we can have hunters, leather, and armory, and armor. It also won't let me try to create and train an army. While I like to go and start whatever needs to be built every time I think about it, there's not a lot I can do while things are being built. It's frustrating enough that I'm losing interest. I lose interest quickly when there's no possible way to do something, and no Goals have been defined within the game.

Simple but complicated. Boring but fun.”

Update: Now I wish I’d spent the money. Their whole account handing/ verification thing is a mess. With a new account, their website won’t send the verification to the correct email address. 30 days to delete an account is ridiculous. Today with a brand new quest, about 5 steps into it, inexplicably, stone runs out. Game over. I may never play Home Quest again. It’s just too ‘quirky’. ___ That is, ultimately, what sold me on checking out Home Quest. There were ‘dry’ spots for me (till I’d learned what was happening elsewhere, and in different ways sometimes) too, at first. But, that didn’t last as the more you do, the more you do, the more you grow, you and the game. I really can’t add to what’s been said. Just repeat things in my words. All I can say is that Home Quest resonated with me. And that feeling just grew and grew. No gigabytes of eye candy, nor split second reactions required . A ‘thinking game’, …that crossed several genres. Ultimately, Home Quest gets as hard as you make it… It would be nice if things could be zoomed more. Maybe a ‘five step’ Zoom, but exponential zoom steps. That would facilitate zooming out, moving, then zooming back in. The simple graphical representations for each item are still cool. To be able to actually see our metropolitans closer. I bought everything and it wouldn’t hurt to be able to see the Lake, or Ridge. :-) The Monuments. Then allow a ‘single finger’ movement of everything since you can’t do anything anyway. Then an epiphany rearranged my thinking, stacking my ‘building blocks’ in different piles this time. I’d sorta been playing Home Quest wrong. I was approaching it more like an arcade game, wanting to do things ‘right now’. And sometimes I got mildly anxious for conclusions. Hmmm, what was it I read somewhere? And Idle play game, and I froze…say what?? LOL Like I was exploiting resources, like, yesterday. lol It would be nice if there was an organization chart, or flow chart. It wasn’t till I, Loseromius, had my proverbial tail handed to me in battle that I took my armies more seriously. :-( lol I’ve probably played HQ something like 35-40 hours so far and now I’m slowing down savoring HQ, not just enjoying it! I think that I, as a new player, maybe came at a good time based on several comments about plainer GUI versus the contemporary one. Other than being able to zoom I closer to our creations, HQ is farn near perfect in entertainment and thinking.
