No value app

Apple user 8888 on

I added this app for my Philips coffee maker. It adds zero value to the experience of owning this coffee maker. This app also randomly notifies me with advertisements so I had to turn off notifications. Complete trash.

One star for the worst app name ever

crizoo on

United States

The app is fine for what I use it for, which was initially air fryer recipes. But wow what a terrible, generic, non-descriptive name for an app. 1 star for creativity !

Good intention

Waste of time installing new versions that cannot synchronize the airfryer with the app. I have to use it manually without being able to see the cooking steps.

Strangest name change

bearco on

United States

I do t u derstand the name change to HomeID. It’s such a strange name for what it is. But the stupidest thing is that it keeps deleting my own creations!!! Very very annoying. And now on top of it they are charging for certain recipes 🤯

Painfully Slow Upon Boot

voom54 on

United States

The app works, but is painfully slow to boot, recognize device(s). Never have I experienced such a slow app. It already knows where it is, its network and device(s)… So what on Earth is going on, here? ⚠️ RESPONSES FROM PHILIPS ATTEMPT’S TO SHIFT BLAME ONTO THE CONSUMER; PHILIPS, READ AND LEARN FROM CRITICAL APP REVIEWS, MAKE CHANGES, STOP WITH THE EXCUSES, BE PROACTIVE. PEOPLE HAVE A RIGHT AND NEED TO USE VPNs. ⚠️ WHY ARE YOU CUTTING AND PASTING ANDROID INSTRUCTIONS ON iOS? ⚠️ It is illogical, ill-advised to tell people what they should or shouldn’t do; take into consideration where people live and what obstacles they potentially face. If you’re actually in the Netherlands, count yourself extremely lucky… But just imagine, if you’re somewhere else, not in the EU or North America… ⚠️ VPNs are essential for many, not an option. I surmise, the real reason Philips doesn’t want people to use a VPN, you’re unable to monetize all their data, nor spam them. So, while everything, and I mean everything wirelessly responds robustly, within our VPN network; doesn’t that imply something about your own architecture? ⚠️ ‘Guest’ simply does not work. You’re forced to comply or not use wireless features, which I’m sure you’re already very well aware of. ⚠️ Perhaps you should reproach the app’s coding… Look at your cloud services… Your bandwidth… Consider, you may be trying to drive far too much traffic through inadequate resources. ⚠️ So, understand, it was painfully slow before, and it’s painfully slow now; absolutely no improvement over the previous version, just more bling. ⚠️ I’ve experimented with VPN on/off, no noticeable difference.. Air Fryer’s have alway’s been a great addition to our kitchen, and your’s was an up-purchase from our original one, and I must say, it cooks quite well. ⚠️ With that said, along with your demanding price point, I honestly expected a better user experience. ⚠️ Your device’s physical interface is painstaking cumbersome, slow, unresponsive; the app is the only redeeming factor in order to have a seemingly stressless interaction with the unit. ⚠️ Coder’s say, ‘garbage in, garbage out…’ We have countless wireless devices and apps, none approach anywhere near your experience; they’re highly responsive. ⚠️ Do you think this encourages anyone to invest in more Philips wireless products…? Likely NOT in this present iteration.

language ? can not change

d失败 on

United States

I saw that it says the app is supported the chinese at the bottom of the app page, but when I entered the app i couldn’t find a place where I could change the language. If the app divides the language according to regions and cannot adjust it by myself, it would be really inhumane.
