The Michelangelo Foundation is pleased to present Homo Faber Guide, the first free app that allows you to discover the best of European craftsmanship near you. Through geolocation, you will be able to locate masters and rising stars of contemporary craftsmanship, the best manufacturers that still follow an artisanal production, museums dedicated to the decorative arts, shops and galleries where you can buy objects, courses and private visits that allow you to enter the heart of craftsmanship.

DISCOVER A SELECTION OF THE BEST ARTISANS IN EUROPE
There are over 700 artisans presented in the Discover section, established master artisans or rising stars who live and work in 20 countries across Europe. Each of them is showcased through an extensive photo gallery, an interview which allows you to discover the secrets of their trade, and a selection of their most iconic objects. Completing the section, there is a selection of renowned manufacturers and ateliers that still follow artisanal production processes.

VISIT UNFORGETTABLE MUSEUMS AND GALLERIES
The Visit section of Homo Faber Guide is dedicated to those who love to spend their free time discovering beauty. You will find the addresses and explanatory profiles of over 100 museums entirely dedicated to the decorative arts or with important craftsmanship collections, as well as a selection of galleries and shops where it is possible to find and buy exclusively handcrafted pieces and design objects.

LIVE A UNIQUE CREATIVE EXPERIENCE
Would you like to challenge yourself and try to create a unique object with your own hands? Would you like to have the opportunity to meet a master artisan and see them at work in their workshop? In the Experience section you will find over 300 unforgettable experiences. Woodcarving courses, visits to the archives of one of the most important fan making Maisons, or even workshops in the kilns of great glass masters: what are you waiting for to free your creativity?

SEE CITIES THROUGH THE EYES OF AN EXPERT
India Mahdavi's Paris, Christian Lacroix's Arlès, Carla Sozzani and Jacopo Etro's Milan: personalities from the world of design, art and culture have decided to share their favourite artisans with the readers of the Homo Faber Guide. In addition to these citizen ambassadors, important European associations and institutions in the field of craftsmanship give their suggestions for the different sections, country by country.
