It’s fantastic, whether it is the complex story with SO much depth, or the stunning characters and combat, this game has it ALL. The only issues I do have with the game is that it isn’t on PlayStation, and doesn’t have controller support for mobile. I truly wish I didn’t have to sacrifice so much storage on my phone when I could have it in my PS. Other than that, I am truly so happy with the development of this game over the years and I wish to see it continue thriving. ♡ ♡

I have spent the better part of 3 years playing this game, and I initially rated it 5 stars when I was starting out. Now that I’ve been through some of the highs and lows I thought I’d go back and give more insight into my thoughts on the game as it is currently. VISUALS Hoyoverse needs no introduction when it comes to their graphics and animations. If nothing else you can expect a visual spectacle from their games, and HI3 does not disappoint. The animated shorts especially are among the best examples of 3D animation I’ve seen in any form of media, and if HI3 main story was adapted into a full-fledged anime with that level of quality I’d be paying good money for Blu-rays of that. As for the in-game combat, you truly get a strong cinematic experience with your character’s combo attacks and ultimates, especially characters that came out after Herrscher of Sentience. AUDIO I’m no expert in music or sound design, but what I can say is that both of these are amazing. From the intense action tracks, to the more emotional tracks during a departure, everything manages to line up perfectly. The voice acting - both JP and CN - are great. For the most part I prefer the JP voices, but a few characters (Kiana especially) definitely sound better in CN, so I’d recommend giving both a try to determine which one you like more. The sound effects in combat are also great, you can feel the impact from the sounds alone when every strong attack hits. STORY To avoid spoilers I’ll refrain from mentioning any scenes or characters in particular. The story of HI3 is a bit of a roller coaster. One moment you’ll be cheering as a character gets the power to defeat an enemy and the next you’ll be depressed because said character has an emotional farewell. The sheer scale of the world-building is immense and spans across multiple forms of media, including manga and visual novels. You’re not obligated to read these, but the game may make reference to some events in these other media and some plot points may seem out of left field if you haven’t read them. Having said all of that, the writing isn’t without its flaws. Sometimes there are typos in the translation that can take you out of the experience. Some of the story unfortunately isn’t replayable and doesn’t have a dialogue history, especially in the “open world” chapters, so you can’t go back and re-read it if you missed something. I stopped playing this game for a while. So then I came back but then I saw my account got deleted or it refused to log me in. I used the exact account I have used to play this game but it has just have gotten deleted. I am very disappointed and upset that I have lost my gaming progress. Please fix this massive problem and give everyone's account back!!

I’ve tried Honkai Star Rail & Genshin. Really like all 3 but HSR is the one for me. Pros: ping doesn’t matter so if your connection is trash it won’t hurt you like Genshin Similar but almost as good graphics to Genshin Similar attributes to other gacha that make it easy to pick up Cons: UI is severely outdated like 2015 vibes or FGO vibes. No variety in characters just skins and outfits and only female The combat likes their dodges to be bang on but no indication as to when to allow for the time slowing Not too F2P friendly and even spending wasn’t worth it. A 30 day gem pass doesn’t even give a full 10 summon worth I’ll be sticking to Honkai Star Rail tbh
