I love this keyboard tool. My only complaint is that sometimes I have to hit a key more than once to make the corresponding character appear on the screen. But to be able to actually type in Ancient Greek without using a special font, this is a very minor concern. εὐχαριστέω πολύ
This is exactly what I need to make flash cards. It would be great if the problem with σ at the end of a word could be corrected. In an app like OneNote it changes, but in an app like this review (or my flash card app) λεγοσ it does not change the ending σ.
At last, I am able to type in polytonic Greek! Overall I gave it a four-star rating because, truthfully, the app is a little “cumbersome” but it does its job. There’s only one small problem, and that is the issue of the one accent that’s supposed to look like a ~ above the vowel, but instead just looks like a half-moon arc. Your testing feature in the app has the squiggly version, and it seems to come out correctly here ᾶ, but I can’t get it to work when I am typing in iMessage or Facebook Messenger or even in iNotes. Do I have to download a specific font? Please advise. Also, would it be possible to program it so that after I type the first capital letter, the keyboard immediately defaults back to lower-case? Perhaps you can put a double-tap to turn on a caps-LOCK feature, and a single-click would be a simple shift to a one-letter capitalization. Thank you for providing this very useful tool!
Would be brilliant if the keyboard name can be shortened. On my iPhone, this keyboard causes the language selection menu to fill ip the whole screen.
I like the keyboard design and layout, and was getting used to typing the diacritics after the letter (different from my phone’s Greek keyboard), but some keys do not respond even when they look like you’ve pressed them. So if you press the alpha, the key will change color to look as if it registered, but the letter won’t show up. Very frustrating when you’re using Quizlet for vocab and it keeps marking you wrong because a letter is missing! Please please fix this, there’s really no other keyboard for iPadOS!
Please keep this updated. Thank you!
Please fix these errors: Ῑ̓́ ᾱ́ ῡ̓ Ᾱ̓̀ Ῡ̓ The macron is great when used alone, but if you add an accent, it moves to the side.
I loved this app. It makes typing ancient greek much easier. However, the letter σ doesn't always change when it is at the end of a word. It works sometimes but most of the time it remains σ. Will you please fix this bug asap? Greatly appreciated!
This keyboard works well, is easy to type diacritics, and doesn’t take up too much screen real estate. The only thing I found that it’s missing is a semicolon key so I can properly mark questions in Koine.
