Hopscotch-Programming for kids

It was so good!!! Until it got rid of a whole section of code blocks, who wants to make a game without sounds! Now i use scratch, good luck competing with scratch. I even had the subscription!!!

Hopscotch helps kids learn coding at an early age! It even has special videos to help you learn new things! It really helped me learn to code and publish my very own games! It is a learning app and you can even get inspiration from other kids who have made games! I love to make new games and publish them! You can report someone’s game if they are sharing personal information or using bad language. You can even show that you like a project by giving HSers mushrooms and hearts! It is at a very low price and totally worth it! There is so much more for you to learn if you get hopscotch so go on and see what’s out there! With love, An HS fan!

To get it free it is SOOOO expensive

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the pros of this app. The tutorials are fun and easy to follow. It’s easy to start coding like a pro in no time! You don’t have to have any experience or even be a certain age. Adults and kids could use this to make simple computer programming games. There is even a community where you can post your games to share. But……You can’t really expect for anyone to play your game. There are a ton of “trending” games that it’s hard to believe we’re made by kids and not experienced developers. The code is sooo complex and and unbelievably good. When you post a game and you don’t buy the subscription, you’re limited. You can’t add images or drawings to your code. No one really plays your games. You get little to no likes and very few followers. The “trending” games and authors ruin a new coders chance at being noticed. If you want to pay $10 a month than this is for you. But the free version is not really worth your time. If you want to play for fun and make simple games, than this might be tight for you. However, if you want to get better and better at coding then no. There is only a certain level of achievement that you can reach with the free version. You also are very unlikely to be noticed by the coding community due to the unbelievable coding authors.

Is amazing!!! But there’s a huge glitch. My account is DRAGON_cat, and all my notifications, projects, and likely following/unfollowing have been set back to 2 MONTHS AGO!!! pls fix

I love this app so so MUCH you learn to CODE and CREATE GAMES like what a great idea! Love it! I am new though so I won’t be able to make any interesting stuff (YET). So you should definitely get Hopscotch if you want to make games (there is also Scratch but that’s only on COMPUTER and LAPTOP and I don’t have those, SO). My main point is GET THIS APP!!!
