The method of coming up with chord progressions does not give me very inspired results. Also a note on the performance mode — they don’t really offer any performance patterns that fully support extended chords, nor give you the option to creat them. Granted - doing that might require patterns that have one version for basic triad chords and another for extended chords — but that is a measure that the developer _ought_ to be willing to take. :: Furthermore, why is live-recording the only way that it allows the creation of new performance-mode patterns? If it allowed direct _editing_ of those, that would have been _very_ helpful. They should do that.
Noice!
Even using it as a sort of, “dictionary” for chords and scales it is excellent. Very intuitive and useful for any inspiring producer, songwriter, or someone who is not well versed in music theory and would like to learn. The displaying of chords on the piano is a huge plus. I love this app.
A fun little app for minimal ideas. Pretty much what the other reviews said (4 chord max, inversion) and maybe I am missing something but I can’t seem to find where to rename a progression once you have decided on the chords.
I have just taken a quick peek so this is more a first impression, but this is a nice and quick way to hear different chords, and to help introduce people to jazz harmonies. It would be cool to see some features like inversions, or different time signatures being available in future updates, but for quick chord progressions and being able to check your work on the fly, this seems very helpful
Maybe I’m missing something, but I really wish you could enter more than four chord progressions in a project.
Sometimes I see a progression written out and don’t have a piano nearby to try it out. SOLVED! Thank you so much.
