Houzz Home Design & Renovation Reviews

Great inspiration

Thank you for putting this out.

Could be better

Bonzabeans on

United States

Fun but could be better. Interiors are limited and don’t offer ability to transform spaces (e.g transform walls. Choose your own appliances. Add or delete individual items).

Stuck at signup

Atc-flier on

United States

Would have been interesting to see if the software could help with creating designs.

Dishonest business practices

VVG57 on

United States

Houzz sent us the wrong order and refused to refund despite emails and calls. Very questionable business practices. They put the poor teleoperators on the frontline, defending their scammy ‘policies’ and ‘processes’.

Great site

trupdx on

United States

I have found some things on the houzz site that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Trying to buy everything for a house that had a fire last January so I’m constantly searching for the best price on the same item. House is easy to use and I recommend it. I never give anything five stars cause I always think something can be improved in this case. I don’t know what that is but I’m sure there’s something!!!

Think twice before purchasing

Tracy Briseno on

United States

We initially signed up for Houzz to use for our real estate design business. The product is not user friendly and cannot print documents for clients easily. For 3 months we found ourselves not using the product and paying $200 a month for a service we don’t use we decided to cancel. To our surprise if we didn’t cancel within the first 30 days you are forced into a full year subscription of $200 a month. I contacted customer service to see if they can cancel as we are early into the product and since we will not be using the product paying $200 for a full year is not feasible. To my surprise the rep (Jose) assisting me in canceling could care less about the customer experience and had a take it or leave it attitude. Shows that they deal with this issue a lot and customers really don’t have an option to cancel.

App Repeats Photos

Repeat images on

United States

The algorithm of the app continues to show the same images or homes over and over again. It’s to the point that if my husband searches the same term in his phone he sees completely different images than me. The internet version of Houzz is better.

Continuous Spam despite unsubscribing

AaronBeck on

United States

Having a account at all with this company will only lead you to continuous spam. No matter how many times you unsubscribe from everything.

Images are broken

Chplusink on

United States

Nearly half the images load as their placeholder images. This makes it non-functional for an app meant to provide visuals for home remodeling.

Difficult to cancel and deceptive

Home Remodeler on

United States

They deceptively lock you into a 12 month auto-renew contract. Do not use Houzz there are much better options out there.
