Very useful but I preferred the old version when adds where less present. It’s sad that a such app changed and is less pleasant to use. Use to refer it to my students but not anymore. I’ll try to find another one, unfortunately.

My findings.

When I type in a word and it shows as unrecognized, this app will still pronounce it. It seems, at times I am hearing a British pronunciation of a word. But not always. Is there a set standard?

It’s too bad that this app does not work

When you put in a word and then get the pronunciation is incorrect. It would be helpful if they would break down the pronunciation. The pronunciation given is either very slow or if you pick fast it is very fast and unintelligible. Do not like to give bad reviews but I was hoping it is out which which doesn’t.

I think it does ok

I think it does ok in comparison to how many different words there are out there, however it pronounces them based on spelling and not on how it is actually pronounced. For example (Hermes) it says it as (her-mees) when in fact it is pronounced air-mez.

Worth it

Freezes

The app freezes when overused, some words it is unable to pronounce. I will be replacing it.
