Too sensitive
I find it impossible to scroll through the app. The lightest touch whips me away to my browser and whatever topic the app selected. This doesn’t happen with other apps, so there must be a way to de-sensitize your app.

The HPR Public Radio App allows you to listen to HPR live, pause and rewind the live audio, and view the program schedule all at once! You can explore On Demand content, search for stories, bookmark a story for later, and wake up to HPR with the alarm clock!
Live Streaming
• DVR-like controls (pause, rewind, and fast forward). You can pause the live stream to have a conversation and pick up right where you left off! Or rewind to catch a comment you just missed!
• Listen to live streams from HPR even while traveling! Start the app and your favorite station starts playing – no clicks to start listening.
• Integrated program schedules for every station. You can display up to three of your favorites at a time or flick once to see the schedules for all of your favorite stations.
• One click stream switching – flip over to the program you noticed on another stream with a single click.
• Listen to HPR in the background while browsing the web or catching up on your emails!
On Demand
• Access public radio programs from multiple content providers (NPR, BBC and HPR) easily and quickly.
• DVR-like controls. Pause, rewind and fast forward your program with ease.
• When listening to national programs, individual story segments (when available) are listed so you can review and choose one or listen to the entire program.

• The HPR Public Radio App displays the web page associated with the program or story segment you are listening to On Demand so you can explore for more information.

No dark mode; too easy to mistap to open browser
There is no dark mode. That makes it hard to use in the night. After the change to the layout of the stories, it is now far too easy to open a browser unintentionally.
Still Great!
Still live in GA and great when hear feed from five (sometimes six) hours earlier, and the uniquely HPR content.

Radio in the palm of my hand!
I mainly listen to HPR while driving so it’s nice to be able to go back and listen to an episode or musical piece that I like. Having it archived here is awesome because I can share it with friends too! Also love the listen live feature because I am not always by my radio but always have my phone with me. Thank you HPR!
Once was great, now awful
Lately, HPR-2 has been ruined with constant short gaps in the music. Additionally the commercial interruptions that start with, “Support for streaming provided by…” now interrupt the programming frequently, sometimes two at a time. Together, these changes have ruined what once was my go-to source for local classical music. There’s no transmitter on Kauai, so it’s the app or nothing for most of us.
Excellent App
Now listening from Bangkok, Thailand. My favorite Honolulu programs sound the same as when we are home. The lovely music calms me and makes me feel close to home. ❤️🙏🍀🌈😎
