Hudson & Rex: Rex at Home is a free augmented reality photo app featuring Rex, the beloved canine partner of detective Charlie Hudson, from the hit Citytv television series Hudson & Rex.

With a few simple taps a virtual Rex will respond to a series of pre-determined commands like sitting, laying down and even catching a ball. Take a photo of yourself (or your pet) with Rex and share it instantly with your family and friends. Featuring cutting-edge volumetric capture technology, it’s like Rex is right there in the room with you!

What to expect:
When the app is first opened, fans will see a splash screen and a short tutorial setup screen. They then proceed to the calibration stage. The player is prompted to scan the floor. A ghost image of the plane detection’ appears, and the player is prompted to “place” the scene.
The gameplay experience occurs in a two-foot diameter play area with photo-realistic holograms superimposed on the player’s real-world environment as viewed through the player’s portable device. A clean and straightforward UI presents two elements critical for the experience. The first is the bottom scene selection, where they can select different poses of Rex, and second is the menu button, where the player can readjust the AR scene, learn more about the television show, the app, and find out more exciting news!
