HUMAX TV Guide

Not had any problems recording remotely or otherwise. EPG a little slow to load but that’s to be expected with so much information.

This is always the problem with Humax, the mechanics of their boxes are generally pretty good but the software is dreadful. On the box it is clunky and not at all intuitive and this app is even worse, in fact it amazes me that a company would release such a bad app for what it says about them and their quality

Spent most of today trying to link the app to the box. Does it actually work for anyone?

Looks like there an issue with the app (again). TV guide is empty so it is impossible to remote record. Poor show Humax

I hate to moan about someone else’s efforts, but I’m not sure much effort has actually gone into this app. I would be embarrassed if I had produced it. It Does almost nothing it claims. Doesn’t work unless on same WiFi, don’t waste your effort trying to get it to work on mobile network. Even Humax support ran out of ideas. TV Guide isn’t up to date all the time. Guide is almost unreadable. I only want to be able to set recordings remotely. I have already contacted Humax support with a list of issues. To sell boxes that use this app for remote functionality, is at best misselling. I’d suggest that Humax publish a plan to when they will resolve the issues with this app. Make it incremental, so customers can at least see things improving.

Humax are now the sewerage of set top boxes and this app is the rat swimming through that sewerage. You think I'm exaggerating? This app doesn't always work. You can't set recordings remotely unless you're really lucky. Frustratingly there's no search facility in the TV guide. So if you want to find a programme to (if you're lucky) record you have to manually search through the listings. If you're lucky enough to be able to set a recording you're returned to some random channel and random time. So good luck with setting another recording. The app doesn't seem to be updated ever. It doesn't work. The TV programme schedule is often just plain wrong. If you relied upon this to set your recordings you'd come home to nothing. And this fits well with the problems surrounding Humax's latest set top boxes. They are slow, clunky and often just plain FAIL. They lose the internet connection and catch up TV. You have to reset them regularly to get all the features back. The remote feels cheap and tacky. This company used to be good. Now they're abysmal. Stinking load if s**t.

Only been using it for a few days but had no issues, look at programs and set recordings without disturbing our viewing, found to be useful.

Complicated to set up and requires a fair bit of effort and commitment to Humax to allow everything. On iPad can only use in portrait mode so only shows a limited view of programs to come up. It always starts at Channel 1 so to record say bbc HD on 101 involves a lot of scrolling..!! Then when you set that program it does not go back to that same program position, oh no..it ends up half way down the program list..!! You then cannot scroll from that position as it freezes, have to then leave app and start all over again. This is app is so poor, especially compared to the BT Youview app which controls a disguised Humax box and works without effort, what on earth is going on?? I hope they didn't pay the developer for this app, as a school kid could have done a much better job. It's a pain to use it...

Sorry but this simply doesn’t work, it’s glitchy can’t move it through the channels easily and keeps crashing. Terrible app is there anything better?

Such a poorly designed app. Can’t remote record. When you select a tv show it just goes blank. Interface is so fiddly and there isn’t a search function. Not sure why Humax haven’t looked at improving?!
